My absolute FAVORITE pizza place in New Haven! Still making pizza the way it was done "back in the day". Margherita pizza is the best!

If you like good well made Pizza then........

Its just the best ive had in a long time, its been here since the 50's and they have a good, no very good ethos in the place, dont take my word for it, please just go and sample the delights.

Excellent.

Made another stop here at this New Haven icon!.... The pizza is simply the best! I see a few reviews that comment the crust is black... Well... The pies are cooked in a coal fired - brick lined oven... What do you expect? That's what gives it the BEST flavor!!
Who knows, maybe the people who write about the black crust prefer "Dominos" ??? Ha!

Long wait for a small restaurant. The same food is served in a larger building next door. Expect much larger pizzas than you would expect. The clam pizza is the best. They serve locally bottled cream soda.

Located right next door and owned by Frand Pepe's, you'll have the same pizza - same menu - with half the wait - it's a lot smaller inside and not quite that rustic old fashion feel you get from the original Pepe's, but if your looking just for the brick oven pizza and don't care about the other stuff, get in line at the Spot!
