McCabes was recommended by a local. It was opening week of the SEASON and they had a special $ 5:00 dollars for a bagel with meat , egg, and cheese. I always have my breakfast sandwiches with mayo, but catsup is available ( wink, wink ) and I am sure a bottle of hot sauce is lying around . ( another wink, wink ) . All in all, a decent sandwich for the money.
An interesting place of tourist knick - knacks, souvenirs and I guess some trinkets for the beach. Seating is in the back.
McCabes has a large assortment of party trays featuring salads, meats and cheeses and sandwiches.
If I recall, lunch ( eat in ) is an assortment of salads and sandwiches.
Recommended to try.

Quick French Brie on fresh French Baguette with butter only. What a delight. Warm crispy and so satisfying. Worth $9. You can't make it like this at home.

The absence of McCabe’s from New Year’s Day till this past weekend was sorely felt. While it has a terrific array of kitchen and related gift items for ones you need or ones you might want to gift, it’s exceptional bakery products, terrific salads and sandwiches, warm and friendly service in this cozy little market that also sells some dry pasta and such and some fresh veggies and dairy items is the place to be. There really isn’t anything like this quality for miles around, and we were happy to enjoy coffee (really good) and bagels and croissants (my fave) there. Beach casual but city good.

Can get crowded, but worth waiting. I'm sure this is a favorite for the locals. We stop here every year for the smoked salmon and something from the bakery.

I guess to be expected in Bethany but the $40 lasagna we got to take home for dinner after a long commute from DC was just bleh. You can find a lot of stuff in here but you are going to pay dearly for it. Veg and fruit looked ok but definitely not local offerings, but yet twice price of the Giant 20 min away. 4 pack of tonic was $8.
