Went last Saturday night, Four in our party, and while the restaurant was busy we were seated in very little time. This is a place that invites you to come for the evening, enjoy a great meal and the company of friends. The new renovations have updated the room but in our minds the old more "clubby" Sullivan's was just as good. Here the service is never an issue, if you have a problem no matter how small, it is taken care of immediately, all you need to do is ask. So now the important part. We had the tater tot appetizer which is only offered in the bar but available if asked for which is fantastic. Think deep fried baked potato with bacon and cheese. We ordered a Malbec wine seldom seen at other restaurants. Three of our party had the filet, and I had the emperor of steaks the New York strip. The steaks here are all hand cut by the chef, perfectly aged and cooked to perfection. All of us had the baked potato which is dressed table side with butter, sour cream, and of course bacon. For desert one of us ordered something that came as a chocolate dome, and when warm chocolate sauce was poured over it, it melted uncovering a mouse like center. Try it maybe you can come up with the proper words for how good it was. Then the general manager came over to greet us and made us know how happy they are that you are there. Truly one of those experiences you think you can only get in center city Philadelphia or New York.

My husband and I we're new in the area and we wanted to try a new restaurant so we gave it a try. We sat at the bar and while we're drinking wine and waiting to order food, we're enjoyed the live music (piano and violoncello). We ordered crab cakes and ahi tuna for starters and already I felt in love with their cuisine. The atmosphere was very good and the service professional. Prices reasonable.

Our server, Kaylie, was very knowledgeable, efficient and attentive. Each food item, especially the steak was cooked to perfection. The recent renovations are reminiscent of a grand old steakhouse. You can't go wrong here. Top-notch in all areas!

I knew from previous reviews that there is a ventilation problem here so I was careful to sit away from the vents blowing so hard that the tablecloth moved. That said, three tables later, we ordered. The cheesesteak egg roll appetizer was so salty, we returned it. My 8 oz filet was very good and cooked right, served alone on a large plate. (38$) the creamed spinach was like cement. Thick, salty, cheesy and sticky. Inedible. I kept it, but did not eat more than two bites. Our waitress was helpful and cheerful. My husband's steak salad was over seasoned but the steak was good. We will not return.

Newly remodeled, Do not like the new dining room, feels real low class. However, that said, the food is always top shelf. Steaks are great!!! Service is always superior. The staff and management at this place are very professional. For a wonderful high end meal in Wilmington, Sullivan's is the Best. Although not much top end competition in Wilmington. For that perfect evening or just a great high end meal, this place takes the gold in NCC. Nice Wine list, does not disappoint.
