Our group of "Vagabond Foodies" from "The Villages", Florida led by our astute leader Stu, who loves to explore "WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE" to find some of the real out of the way food establishments and new dining experiences in the heart of central Florida and in some cases beyond.
Yesterday 6 of us went for lunch at the Mojo Grill in Belleview, Florida which is only a half hour north of "The Villages" on US441/27N (or via US301N into US441/27N). We were greeted at the front entrance with a big welcome and a "how ya doin" guys with happy music playing and a lot of laughing going on throughout the restaurant and after no wait we were seated.
Our lovely and skilled waitress took our drinks orders and we settled down to read their vast menu. The dishes we ordered were the Crazy Classic Cuban Sandwich, BBQ Pulled Pork Quesadilla, the 10 oz. Big Daddy Burger, the half pound Hound Dog Hot Dog, the Mojo Burger and Cuban Roast Pork Fajita. The sides of waffle fries were excellent and they came along with most dishes. I personally had rice and beans as a side and they were cooked and seasoned perfectly as was everyones lunch. The portion were so big that most of us took something home.
The atmosphere was fun, the service great, the pricing fair and the food excellent. All were pleased with lunch and it was time for all of us to relax and take a siesta on the way home to "The Villages"
