Consistency...that's Village Tavern. You can always count on a good meal. Moderately priced, large menu and quick, friendly service.

Recently we were staying the night in Boynton Beach and this restaurant was advertised in our room brochures. We found 2 restaurants that sounded good in the brochure but the other restaurant did not allow us to review the menu online. We reviewed the menu online and saw plenty that appealed to us so we decided to try the Village Tavern. What a great decision. The restaurant was just a couple of blocks from the hotel and we were promptly seated. I am ashamed to say that I cannot remember our waiter's name but he was very personable. I ordered the Steak Marsala and the waiter recommended their mac n cheese, it also came with a vegetable but there was not one that I cared for. I mentioned I would prefer to have some extra sautéed mushrooms and our waiter said he could make that happen. My Steak was perfectly cooked. The mac n cheese was home made, cheesey and gooey with toasted breadcrumbs on top. My other half had The Hemingway-pan-seared, fresh tilapia sautéed with white wine, lemon, tomatoes, capers, served over angel hair pasta with Parmesan. We left there full and happy, with a doggy bag for breakfast. Absolutely would eat here again. One thing though evidently you should arrive early. We arrived at 4:30 but by the time we ordered and were waiting for our meal the restaurant was filling up. There were both inside and outside dining areas.

Very large restaurant/bar in a Strip Mall. We made reservations for a late lunch that weren’t necessary - plenty of open tables at 2 p.m. We were glad that the Lunch Menu was still available. Very extensive menu, with 5 lunch specials - Meatloaf with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes, Margherita Flatbread, Thai Chicken Salad, Shrimp Scampli with Pasta, and another Chicken Dish. Included Soft Drink or Tea for $10.
Service was friendly, but very slow, perhaps because of the late hour for lunch?

Eat here frequently. Would recommend making reservations if planning to eat after 5:30pm. It is a well known spot in a large shopping plaza with lots of homes and apartments nearby. Has outdoor dining area. Very pleasant service personel.....Rob H
