Owner description: With hundreds of things to do on Clearwater Beach, the main attraction is still pretty much its near-perfect beach (USA Today readers voted Clearwater Beach "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013). Beautiful white sand and clear, shallow water make this beach an ideal playground for families.

We love the sand: so fine, soft and clean. The beach Is wide. The water is calm with small waves, great for young children. Have good choices of restaurants and activities but yet not too busy.

We stayed at the Sheraton Key Resort. Here are some suggested highlights (all good and one caution) to do while vacationing

1.Marina Cantina: great staff and excellent food. Family friendly , on the water and even themed blankets

2. Sand Pearl Tate Grill: its part of a resort on northern end of beach but you can watch fantastic sunsets and great service and live music. By far the best place we ate it. Also , not as crowded because people , other than hotel guests don't know about it. We went there twice.

3. Sea Screamer: the best dolphin watching ever. Didn't think we would see anything or if we saw it, it would be so much fun for us adults. But the fast speed boat definitely served to be a positive draw as dolphis trailed it

4. Captain Bligh’s Landing Mini Golf: great break from the fun in the sun at the resort beach and do some old fashion mini golf.

5. The trolley is the worst way to get around. We tried it twice: once on the weekends (expected to be busy) and once during the weekday during the day. It never ran on time (or even close to). On the weekday, spent 40 min waiting. We had a rental car so learning from what a waste of time it was, drove and used the metered parking or one of the lots and turned out to be convenient.

6. Beach area near Pier 60 has a great 50 ft high water slide. Kids loved it

Beautiful white sand beach. Very clean, very nice. Great family beach. Parking was limited but other than that it was nice.

Insanely crowded beach with perfect sand and water. Best of luck finding a place to sit!! Great views. Unless you want cheap souvenirs skip the pier and snap a photo from afar instead.

Wonderful beach for the whole family with fine white sand, nice child friendly conditions. The pelicans on the pier were great to see and also came close to people. There is entertainment each late afternoon/evening and the sunsets on the beach just have to be experienced
