This is a review for the Baytowne Wharf shops and restaurants. As can be expected, merchandise is somewhat over priced. My largest gripe is the Sundries. First, I purchased a Styrofoam ice cooler for $12! Publix had it for $7.99 (my mistake and will never happen again). Secondly was the customer service from the lady with her leg wrapped. Not only could she not look me in my face but she could not say hello either as if being a woman of color coming into purchase items from their store is a crime. The next was the price for a 10lb bag of ice for $5 (I didn't buy it though). Publix had a 16lb bag for less than $5. So overall, Sundries, although a nice store to have in a pinch is not worth the aggravation and over pricing.
Secondly, our experience at The Village restaurant. Beware of being hungry and thinking you're going to get seated within thirty minutes or so. It's not happening. I put our names on the list. We were told it would be an hour's wait. No problem. I went back shortly before the hour was up and the time increased to seventy-five minutes. We were so irritated that I had to text the valet from where we were staying, get in my car and drive to Chick Fil'A! We did not get a text until over two hours from when I put our names on the list. Needless to say we won't go there when we return.
Now the good part! Ruby Slipper! The food and service was awesome! The cinnamon pancakes are very delicious. Our wait time was minimal. This restaurant only serves breakfast and brunch.
