I guess the raison d’etre of places like Ellenton Prime Outlets are branded goods at a low price.
The low price promise has been eroded somewhat as a number of Outlets don’t really offer the low price promise eg Polo Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Under Armour, Skechers etc
There are a few good deals and they all run seasonal promotional kickers but the value proposition is a bit of a myth these days.
When we went in May 2018 there were a few stores who had sold up, maybe a sign of the economic times, but maybe people are wising up to the fact that the really great deals are hard to find.
But it’s a pleasant enough experience and we spent over three hours there and did get a few good purchases.
Parking is aplenty (unless you go on Black Friday!) and there is a Food Court which offers a variety of different options.
It’s just off the I75 so very easy to get to.
Local’s tip: if you want something to eat waterside try Woody’s Roo which is very close by. It’s a fun experience.
