My family and I stayed at this lovely resort for 4 nights. We were in one of the cottages, but other family members of ours were in the big house. The cottage we stayed in easily accommodated my husband and I with our 2 small children. We found the cottage to be very clean with modern furnishings. The kitchen had everything we needed and wanted. The patio was great for seeing the sunset! Everything from making the reservation to checking in went very smoothly. We found the owners to be very kind and helpful. Upon our arrival we felt "welcomed" and not just "checked in".
We called the owners once during our stay, just because we had a simple question. Not only did they respond immediately, but they were genuinely interested in how we were enjoying our stay.
The main house is gorgeous! Very spacious, and because it sits up high, the view of the bay from inside the home is amazing! We were very impressed with the home and can honestly say this is a great family-oriented vacation spot! The lawn and driveways were well kept and the other quests were polite. It seemed to me that this resort attracted high quality people who were respectful of the other guests. Prior to our arrival, I read the other reviews and noticed there were 2 that were not very favorable. Now that I've stayed at this resort and had a GREAT time, I wholeheartedly believe the guests who left negative comments must be real jerks who tried to take advantage of a good thing!
Sadly, my family and I are now back in Pittsburgh in cold weather, but thankfully my family and I have great memories of our lovely stay at the Englewood Lighthouse Resort! We will definitely return to this haven next winter!

Room tip: Be sure to spend some time on the dock ....even if you don't fish!

The view is perfect, directly on Lemon Bay. A pier for fishing or just enjoying the wildlife. .. dolphins and an occasional manatee. The cottages are Old Florida style. .. nothing remotely fancy. .. just the basics. The furnishings are old and a bit tattered. There is a screened in pool which is lovely. There are bbq grills and patio tables. Some cottages have a lani. It is very close to Historic Englewood and Manasota Key. It is right off Route 776 so expect a lot of road noise.

We stayed two weeks at the beginning of winter high season. Lisa and Larry work their tales off to keep this place in good working order. The dock was our favorite, but the town is a great place to browse.

We have stayed at the Lighthouse resort for the passed 5 years and absolutely love the place. This time we stayed in the Manor House and enjoyed the large spacious home were the whole family could be together. Enjoy watching the beautiful sunset from the screened in porch that over looked the inlet. The house was well kept and had everything that we would possible need to make this getaway a great one. I would highly recommended this placed to anyone.

We had a very nice weekend visit to Englewood Lighthouse Resort.

The unit was clean, comfortable and very quiet, just what we were looking for.

Breakfast while sitting on the porch looking out over the water was relaxing.

Thanks!
