We stopped here while walking to the Hemmingway House. It was a quick 45 minute tour. There are 88 steps to the top of the lighthouse, but you can also opt to only tour the lighthouse keeper's house. Military, AAA, & student discounts are available, although it's only about $10 to begin with. There was a guide in the house to answer questions. The view from the top of the lighthouse is excellent. The small gift shop had a nice selection of items made in Key West, children's books, etc., not just the usual souvenirs.

Loved the view from the top. Four cruise ships in port to see in the horizon. If you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all but worth the $10

It was enjoyable and educational to see the lighthouse and grounds up close. You 're allowed to climb to the top of the lighthouse for a great view (and some serious exercise). They also provided additional information on other lighthouses on the Keys that I found very interesting.

Gorgeous views of Key West, conveniently located across the street from the Ernest Hemingway house. The climb to the top was pretty easy, and the history of the families who ran the lighthouse was pretty cool. The lady running the place was a bit rude, but the lighthouse was worth it!

Across the street from the Hemingway house. Fun to climb the lighthouse and get the great view. Lighthouse keeper's house and history interesting. Not a long stop, but well worth it. There are a couple of Seward Johnson statues that are fun to see, a woman on a bench and two boys flying a kite.

Only downfall was the extremely grumpy, unfriendly woman working the gift shop. Wanted those asking for the student price to show their IDs. Who brings student ID on vacation? Maybe it should be by age (say under 18) or some other way? But I didn't feel like perusing the small gift shop like I would have. They do sell water for $1, so that's nice.
