Of all the Hyatts in Key West (four properties), this one is the most spacious and relaxing. Beautiful well kept grounds and pool area. Large two bedroom condos with everything you need. We'd love to live here. The staff is always professional, friendly and responsive and a tribute to the great management team in charge there. Can't wait until our next visit. It's just so relaxing sitting by the pool and looking at the ocean.

I spent a very enjoyable week at the Hyatt Windward Pointe resort. It is four miles outside of town, and overlooks the seawalk and Atlantic Ocean. Even though the road is right outside, the magnificent view of the ocean and the beautiful landscaping at the resort make you forget it. The airport is extremely convenient (a five minute walk) and it would be possible to stay there without a car, since the local bus stops right outside the resort. There is also a shuttle service into the Old Town Hyatt Hotel for $5 per person, each way. The two bedroom units are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with a spacious balcony with an ocean view ... we ate our meals and spent our time there! The pictures on the website are 100% accurate!

A beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath condo across the street from the ocean. Away from the bustle and congestion of downtown Key West. Beautiful pool area. Ideal if you want to take long walks along the seawall and only a short walk to the beach. We were two couples and spent 4 days relaxing. After spending the day in Old Town Key West, the greatest part was coming back to the condo and kicking back. The property is well kept and spotless. We could never figure out the housekeeping schedule so don't try. When you check in, get very specific directions to your condo. The numbering system is wierd but well worth the search. It feels like Hawaii. Ask for a room near the ocean (we could hear the waves from our room). If we return to Key West it will be to Windward Pointe.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the ocean and, equally important, a room away from the airport. We got both and we were extremely happy with the condo.

Positives:

1) helpful and efficient staff.

2) lovely pool and hot tub.

3) carefully landscaped grounds.

4) fully equipped, comfortable apartments with spacious decks.

Pretty much this adds up to a "5." What keeps it from a 5?

1) no quality cafe on-site. There is a cafe by the pool but it is little more than a hot-dog stand.

2) the landscapers turn out at 8 AM with leaf blowers, trimmers, lawn mowers, the works. You can forget about enjoying breakfast on your deck on the days when your "area" is targeted. Fortunately, they seem to rotate.

Others have complained about the airplane noise. We (on the ocean side) had little problem with this. You will see and hear the occasional commercial jet, and you will see and hear a lot of bi-planes (pretty charming!). But you will see more F18s than all of these combined, and that is true for all of Key West.

The property is about 3 miles from the chaos of Duval Street. If you are 18, you will think this too far; if you are 40+, you will find it a relief.

I would certainly recommend Hyatt Windward Pointe to friends and family.

Room Tip: Ask for ocean side, 2nd floor.

Been coming here for 5 years. Great place and not too far out. Can't say I noticed the airport noise but I did notice the Navy noise. When those jets go overhead you can't miss them. Fortunately only during the day and certainly not too often.
The resort is clean and very well kept. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. And there is a very nice Italian restaurant next door.
Stayed 2 weeks this year and cna't wait to come return next year.

Room Tip: Every room seems to have some advantage. We like the end units which have a larger porch. Every romm over looks the ocean.
