If you are looking for a great place to stay that is reasonable priced this is the place. It's clean but not fancy. If you stay at the Blue Fin. I am not sure about the Key Lantern. You can also walk to Lorelei Restaurant and watch the Sunset eat and drink. Nice place to stay great prices..

Room was clean, breakfast close by as well as tikibar. Cute place. 20minutes south is BahiaHonda park where we spent our days. Then fishing our evenings. So it was nice to not pay an arm & a leg for somewhere to just sleep and shower.

I spent two nights at the Blue Finn Inn. My trip was more focused on Fishing and Diving, and not too concerned about staying at a 5 star resort, due to the fact that my wife wasn’t with. She would normally pick a Ritz or “W” type resort, and this was the total opposite. My room and bathroom was very clean, but out dated and had a funky smell, but all and all, it was perfect for what a needed, a clean place to sleep and shower. The one big advantage was that Lorelei restaurant was basically behind the motel. They have great food, drinks and entertainment, but the service is on island time, so don’t show up hungry. Also the motel had plenty of parking. Bottom line is that my wife wouldn’t have stayed here, and would have been pissed, but after boating all day and drinking all night, and paying $80 a night, it was just fine for me.

FYI....As far as nightlife is concerned, there's a tiki bar at the Postcard Inn. That seems to be the happen spot!

We stayed one night at the Key Lantern Motel. This is a very basic no frills motel. If you are looking for a resort style hotel, look elsewhere.

Our room had a kitchenette with one double bed. The furniture showed showed nicks and scratches plus a few stains. However, the room was clean.

If you are looking for an inexpensive clean no frills motel, this place is for you. If you are looking for a high quality resort look somewhere else.

this is an old property in Islamorada that offers extremely low prices during the weekdays. now, you get what you pay for, so don't expect resort style luxury. what you can expect is a clean, quiet, and safe place to stay. we had a room out back that was basically a cement block; but it was clean and comfortable, and for our purposes was perfect. you are in the Keys after all, so if you're staying in your room, there's something wrong. we used it to clean up and sleep, and otherwise we were engaged in enjoying the Florida Keys. the money we saved by staying here allowed for that much for fun outside. the owners are nice and friendly, there are a couple of good restaurant/bars right next door, and you're not going to find a better price in the Keys.
