The location was good. Out of the way and near a small bar and restaurant. On the water but no view at sunset. All this was offset by bad management. Staff was rude and unhelpful. Specifically Kevin who was bossy and intrusive.

Hi Ben,
We are glad you liked our location on the Atlantic Ocean. Our view is really nice, including some spectacular sunrises. For a great sunset view all you have to do is cross over to the other side of US1, about a mile from us, which is the Gulf of Mexico. Our island is so small you can find a great sunset view numerous places, including the famous 7 Mile Bridge, the quay and several restaurants.

As the 'on grounds' management, Kevin is sometimes stuck with the thankless job of confronting our guests when there is some sort of problem, such as a breach of safety rules. This is for the benefit and wellbeing of all of our guests, our owners and our complex. Often times, he has to be the “lifeguard” that corrects an unattended child at the pool, or remind a guest to not bring glass bottles to the pool deck, and occasionally quiet a late night party that has grown noisy. We realize this can seem intrusive and annoying when one is on vacation - and desiring to be relaxed and freer than one is in their workaday life. We also have to consider the relaxation and freedom of all of the folks staying here. We do take your criticisms seriously and appreciate the honesty.

The condos are older, and each vary so I would highly recommend finding review of specific condo. We rented 3 condos. Unit 11, 12 and 14. Checked in late, units were left open for us, which was great as we were exhausted. But air was set on 79, condos didn't cool down until next day. So first night sleep was miserable. If people are checking in, can't you set temp cooler that day? I asked, but got basically a no answer? I would not recommend staying there in June or July as air cond couldn't keep up and main bedroom never got really cool in condos 11 and 12. Also, when we checked in next morning regard issue with one of the beds, we were asked to be courteous around the pool and beach area, as large groups such as ours can be overwhelming to others. I took this poorly, you assume because there are 13 of us, we will be rude? Not cool. Sounds like I'm bragging, but we have received compliments on my 5 grandchildren on flights, that they are so well behaved. So in the pool area, you don't want children jumping in the pool? I was disappointed, definitely put a damper on my vacation. We did enjoy the beach, yes there is grass, but the water was clear, and we spotted lots of sea critters etc. I believe this is a good place for older couples, as I believe there are full time retirees living there. So go when it's not too hot, it's a nice quiet area, but plan on being quiet.

Each unit is individually owned. Great oceanfront pool and tennis courts. Loved the area and restaurants. Marathon offers great hiking...Crane Point was an area we loved and it is historic. Also, hiked the Seven Mile Bridge.

Just stayed in Unit #3 and had an awesome time. These condos are individually owned, so some are more updated than others. The owners of #3 have recently done lots of upgrades/remodeling and it looks fabulous! It is painted in bright colors and has a great tropical vibe and charm, with loads of tropical and beachy decor. There is plenty of new furniture, along with new granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, updated glasses/dishes/utensils in the kitchen, and three new flat screen TVs. The pool is large and very warm, and there is a nice view of the pool and ocean from the screened porch. The folks who run the place (Becky, Kevin, and Megan) go out of their way to accommodate your needs and are very helpful and friendly. There is lots to do in Marathon, including some great restaurants (the owners have left menus of some of their favorites for you to peruse).I would definitely stay here again and again...love it!
Stunning open plan w/owner's suite & guest room on main.

Room Tip: Unit #3 was awesome!!! Far enough from pool to be quite but close enough to have great view of pool and ocean from screen porch.
