Was not the best experience. The rooms were decent but nothing special. First room I had smelled of cigarette smoke. Asked to move right away. Acted as if they were doing me a favor. While bathrooms are nicely laid out the water pressure in the shower is just a little more than a trickle. The Bar is again nothing special. Drinks were not tasty at all. Food was subpar and prices not worth it. Pools were cold so could not use. I guess it being December and an unusally cold week would excuse that. So it would have to be the hot tub instead. But wait. The bathwater temp hot tub didn't really bubble at all and then they came to test the water. Turns out the chlorinator was broken and here we were just sitting in dirty bath water. Off to the shower we went. Then there are the extra fees. $20 a day to park a car. Then the $35 "resort" fee. I do not know what that is for. The coffee makers in the room make terrible coffee but you have the option of for a short time during the day going in to the lobby and buying a cup of coffee for $4 or $5 a cup. Basically everything is designed to nickel and dime you. Also watch your reciepts for already added tips. Just not worth it.

Outstanding service from 95% of the staff. Very nice resort on the Gulf side of Marathon. Property is tied in with a Hilton property next door with a marina. Guests here can use all amenities on both properties which is nice. Nice gym and guest laundry at the Courtyard for longer stays. Yes there is a “resort” fee but that is now almost universal all the way down the keys. They list what is provided for the fee but it’s not really worth the cost. Again, this is standard here and not to put down the Courtyard specifically. Two pools - nice, 1 hot tub - not so nice (bubble timer broken so that didn’t work and temperature estimate would be about 90 degrees - think lukewarm bath water, not hot tub temperature.) Hard to find any hotel with a hot tub these days and it was a major reason we chose this one. Disappointing to find it barely even warm. Only got in once - not worth getting wet. They have yard chess and cornhole as well as a nightly movie. There is a free alcoholic drink of the day between 5pm and 6pm - small but tasty and served by the nicest people! There are two gas fire pits on property as well as a 2 wood fires that are lit at the end of each of their peninsulas for the “Eventide” events. The fires last a little over an hour and are set at sunset.

I would like to recognize a few absolutely OUTSTANDING people here.

Marlon at the front desk is the kindest, most helpful front desk associate I’ve ever met! He went above and beyond for us multiple times.

Carlene, the kitchen manager during breakfast is an amazing human who truly cares about her guests. Her smile lit up our mornings and her beautiful Jamaican accent was like a song to start the day. The breakfast was always delicious - especially the breakfast burrito!! I don’t know the chef’s name but hats off to them as well!

Yadira, Brian and Roberto at the Blue Water Bar by the main pool area are THE BEST!! Sweet, helpful, fun, quick with a joke or quiet if you prefer. Excellent service, always with a smile and excellent drinks.

Room tip: Free, plentiful parking, adjoins a Hilton property with marina next door with mutual use of all amenities.

The location is great. The amenities are really nice. The room is big and includes a microwave and a (truly) mini fridge.

There’s a lot of space to simply relax - hammocks, chairs by the water, by the pool. It’s up to you.

And there is even an ev charger.

We decided to stop last minute to sleep overnight on the the drive back from Key West. What a mistake. I booked on points, so I don't know if they just treat points redemptions differently. The front desk assigned me a room on the second floor that was old and stinky. When the a/c came on it banged and then beeped loudly like an alarm clock. We couldn't turn it off! After a nearly sleepless night, we found the coffee maker in the room didn't work. So I went downstairs in search of coffee. I was told no, the coffee in the lobby is only for sale. I have never stayed in a Marriott hotel that only had coffee in the lobby for sale. The front desk said she would text housekeeping to bring me a new coffee maker. We waited one hour until checkout at 11, and then had to leave. Nobody brought a coffee maker. I addressed this with the front desk and the lady just shrugged and said "I did my part. I texted housekeeping". She had no care in the world that this Marriott Bonvoy member did not get the customer service. Again I asked for a cup of coffee. Again she said it was only for sale in the lobby. I pointed out that my room description said it comes with complimentary coffee and coffee maker. She said the room did come with that, it just didn't work. I gave up. Coffee in the morning before a long drive up US1 may sound small to some people, but many travelers need it to get going in the morning and I think coffee is the least thing a hotel could provide travelers. I would never stay here again.

I had a great stay. The Front Desk Supervisor, Marlon was very friendly and accommodating. He made some great recommendations on what to do in the area. Having a Starbucks on property made the stay a true blessing. The Starbucks Supervisor, Charlene made the Starbucks runs wonderful, and made every interaction a wonderful experience. Having a pool bar was lit and the outdoor jacuzzi was fantastic. The property was very clean, and I would definitely return in the near future.
