After cruise wanted somewhere to go to rest. Liked the fact Caribe Cove was gated. It was 5 of us and we rented the 3 bedroom/2 bathroom unit. Very clean and spacious. Truly enjoyed the screened patio. A patio in master bedroom, living room and second bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. The living room is very outdated it needs a major renovation. The wicker furniture was uncomfortable and the cushions need replacing. Very faded and wore. Plastic plants that looked horrible. The televisions were outdated and small. The refrigerator was broken, unfortunately we didn't know until after we had gone grocery shopping. Ice cream and other frozen items melted. Maintenance was able to fix that evening. It was a comfortable place just needs updating. Very nice area. Close to stores and restaurants.

We checked in on Sunday, April 9,2017. We had a three bedroom condo. There was no remote for the television in the bedroom with queen bed. Our refrigerator was not working, so maintenance was called. They had to remove an ice buildup from the freezer. On Monday our water was brown. I went to the office and asked if we were being punked or something. They told us the city was testing the water and did not tell them. Overall the furniture needs to be updated especially the living room furniture. The bathrooms are rather nice. Units need a lot of updating.

The place was wonderful and clean. We booked the three bedroom and two bath unit. The whole resort was gated and had someone at the gate at all times. There were washers and dryers in each unit so you didn't have to over pack your clothes and have room for souvenirs. Our place had a high chair and a play pen for our 10 month old. The screened patio was a bonus and we had breakfast outside every morning. The bathrooms were very nice and had separate showers and baths. The carpet was a bit worked out and the TVs were out of date, but who watches TV on vacation. Walmart and Target were both within 10 minutes and a gas station was about 3 minutes away. Lots of restaurants within 20 minutes. We will be booking this place in the future as it has everything we want for our home away from home. All you can drink tea and coffee at the main building and free DVD movie rentals every night you stay. They even sell you Disney and other theme park tickets so you can get them all at one place.

Caribe Cove's room 402 requires immediate renovations. The bed mattresses were plastic and uncomfortable. The pillows were flat and old. I actually had to purchase pillows at Target so I could sleep. The carpet was beyond old, stained and gave the four of us allergies. Lastly, the television and living room furniture require updating. I truly hope the management and owners take action immediately. This condo was unsatisfactory and should not be rented till it undergoes a renovation.
The resort though was located near everything and had a great pool area with a hot tub. In addition, the staff seemed friendly. I would only return if we were guaranteed an updated room.

Room Tip: Stay away from Building 3, Room 402

We had a 3 bed / 2 bath room in building 3. The place was very good sized, never felt like we were on top of each other. Both bathrooms were large as well, and the condo had its own laundry room. The resort is small enough that it never feels crowded. The most people we ever saw around the pool was roughly 20. Our trips to Disney/Universal were 25-35 minutes depending on traffic. There are a lot of restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive which can be found using an app such as AroundMe or even Trip Advisor. The entire complex was very clean. The only things preventing a rating of 5 was the spotty wifi and the antiquated tube TV in the living room - we weren't on vacation to watch TV, but when we did want to relax with a couple of movies (free DVDs on-site) at night, a decent TV would have been nice. Great place overall for us and our 9 and 12 year old boys, would visit again.
