My family has enjoyed many meals with good service at this restaurant. We brought my family for Easter brunch, as we do every year. Food was excellent and so was the service. Why the low rating?
I had my husband, my son and his fiancé with me at the Easter Bruch... During brunch, you can pick what you want to eat from set table areas. I saw an Easter chocolate bunny, just like the ones at Walgreens that sell for about $2. and brought it to my table thinking that it was part of the brunch selection.
Imagine my surprise and embarrassment when this woman came to our table and identified herself as owner Martha and took away the chocolate that we were getting ready to eat! She said that the chocolate bunny was there for decoration only and there was one more seating that had to enjoy the bunny for decoration! I had no way of knowing that the chocolate bunny placed around the food was not for me to pick to eat! If it was so important for Martha to have items on display with food forbidden to be eaten, some kind of notification should be given in writing next to the eatable item so that customers can be aware that the particular food cannot be eaten.
I have contacted Martha’s 2 male partners in the business which are unaware of what this woman is doing to the customers.
If you go for brunch: Check with Martha first about what she allows you to eat or what she has for display.
