This is a very scenic state park. The walking trails are level and well marked. The river is beautiful. The park is very dark at night which makes seeing the stars a great experience. The only negative is that the bath house floor was very wet. We only stayed one night but it was wet when we got there and still wet when we left the next day. I'm not sure why or what was going on. Since we were only there the one night, we didn't mention it to the park staff.

This is an out of the way State Park that offer a quiet night's sleep.

Located on the banks of the Suwannee River, there is some history here but it seems to be ignored by the operators. Some kind of Civil War embankments, old bridge structures, historical ferry landing, not sure what else is being ignored but it's very impressive as to what's not being displayed or explained.

Laundry machines are available at the shower building. No campground wifi is available but cell phone coverage is.

Camping sites are generally open so you can easily get to know your neighbors.

Hiking trails are somewhere, but again not marked so they are more like wandering about trails. Lovely trees and interesting bridges to view.

Lots of group areas so maybe this is actually what the Park is all about.

Stayed here a couple of nights on our way home. This is not a large facility, but it has mostly level sandy sites off an asphalt road (loop) with enough room between campsites to give you a little privacy. The park is heavily treed, with good hookups. The restrooms were clean and modern. This is not much of a destination - not much to do nearby, but if you are looking for a camping experience, this is your park.

The Verizon cell service was somewhat limited, there were a few over the air channels available for TV, and not much else in the way of amenities.

Hike, camp, fish, picnic, enjoy. Pine warblers were everywhere on Saturday. Very busy here. Nice to see so many tents and kayaks. From the overlook, you can see where the Suwannee and the Withlacoochee River join. Lots of history. Remnants of an old paddle wheel shaft from a 19th century steamboat.

This is a great park with great trails. My husband and I love to walk our dogs here. Definitely check out the little springs!
