Owner description: The "Pass", as locals refer to it, was created by a hurricane on September 27, 1848. A pirate, John Levique, made the first passage through the newly created pass. Hence the name, Johns Pass. Located on the waterfront at Johns Pass, this quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. Over one hundred merchants inhabit the Village with unique retail shopping, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing.

Nice little specialty shops and lots of restaurant choices. The kids watched them clean fish (the fish were all makes and models) which they enjoyed. Water sport activities for rent there and also a pirate ship docked as well. Nice change from the sand--easy in and out. Pay on the street at a meter.

We enjoyed shopping, getting ice cream, and dinner all in the same place! Great seafood restaurants are around every corner. We also loved seeing pelicans and dolphins from the boardwalk!

Lots of tourist shops and restaurants. Okay for a couple of hours pottering about and to book a boat trip.
Parking can be tricky I'd you don't get there early.

There is so much to do here....shopping, fishing, parasailing, jet skis, boat rentals, dolphin cruises, pirate ship cruise for the little ones and I’m sure much, much, more. Lots of boutiques, surf shops, bars, ice cream shops, and restaurants. And an arcade for the teens. Retail places were full of friendly, helpful people. Best part is it is located on the bay with some nice views. If you’re in the area I recommend stopping here....there is something for everyone.
