Room was fine-housekeeping efficient.Construction for a new building was going on
and we found it distracting sitting at the pool.Weather was windy and umbrellas could not be used at the beach.

Pool waitress service was slow due to heavy crowds.Breakfast buffet was excellent and
the hotel had a two for one price included in the resort fee.Quinn's restaurant at the pool had decent lunch food .Dinner at Ario's the fine dining restaurant on the property was good quality but small portions. You really have to use valet parking since self parking was across the street and a good distance from the hotel lobby and there is an incline to overcome. The property is quite spread out and considerable walking is involved.

The concierge was excellent and the gym facility was modern and fully equipped.Overall-probably the most expensive hotel on the Island but first class.Their
convention facilities are top notch as well.

Room Tip: stay away from the elevators

The concierge, specifically those who assist with vehicle parking and retrieval, were all very helpful, friendly, professional, and expeditious. It was a flawless process. Just plan ahead for Friday and Saturday night taxi or other ride arrangements as this this be extremely busy and delays the arrival of a ride to a dinner reservation. The front desk staff were so very friendly and helpful at all times. In particular, a gentleman named Nick Vergara promptly assisted me with resolution of my final bill. This was very important, as I was in a hurry to catch a flight. His accommodation and understanding prompted is quick action and resolution. I very much appreciated this.

We just finished a 6 day stay and had a wonderful time here. Very spacious and comfortable rooms. Two nice pools and a great beach. Lots of water activities are available. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can relax at the pool or beach and have your food and drinks delivered to you. Several restaurants on site and a few other nice ones just a 10 minute walk away. The huge breakfast buffet here is a great deal with the 2 for 1 discount. Free parking right across the street, or you can pay for valet parking. There is new construction going on one side of the property but there is very little noise. They also have a very nice spa, but we did not try it.

My stay at the Resort was great experience. From check in to check out the staff was extremely attentive to all of my needs. Especially two bellman. Frank was the best experience at the resort. He went out of his way to make our stay the best. Dave was just as good. The resort did an excellent job with our class reunion. Bob Pheffer did a great job with all of the events. My expierence was the best I have ever expierenced in a hotel. The staff is first class and should be commended on there professionalism and first class service. I will definitely recommend and return .

My wife and I joined her extended family recently for a week on Marco Island, and we stayed at the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort.

This is a large, sprawling hotel with three towers and a variety of amenities. There is a large parking lot for self-parking, although it is across the highway from the hotel. The towers are aligned perpendicular to the beach so there aren’t many oceanfront rooms but there are plenty with a view of the pool and a view diagonally to the ocean. Rooms are large and spacious and are in the process of being upgraded to JW Marriott decor (marble plus wood).

This resort does a particularly nice job of handing the pools and beach. The pools are gated and do not open until 8am, preventing the usual practice of claiming a large number of chairs the night before or super-early in the morning. Instead, people have to line up to wait for the pool area to open, but then they can claim several chairs per person. Prime spots still fill early, but at least it’s more fair than most resorts. Similarly, umbrellas and beach chairs are included in the resort fee, but they aren’t available until 9am. Again, people line up to get an umbrella in the front row near the ocean but it’s still pretty easy to get a decent spot later. Overall, this pool / beach system is one of the best I’ve ever seen!

The resort has a particularly good buffet for breakfast and dinner, with items that change daily. There is also a coffee shop, frozen yogurt place, pizza shop, outside bar/grille, and steak restaurant. Little amenities abound, such as the large mug you can purchase that gives unlimited soda refills at the bars and pizza shop throughout the week.

Overall, the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort is a great place for a family vacation. The only downside is that, like many Marriott “resorts” there are no amenities for Marriott Gold/Platinum members.
