I've been visiting Mexico Beach for over 30 years. I've spent a month in a rental house annually for the past 12 years. I've had a boat in the Mexico Beach Marina for the last two years. Last month I closed on a condominium in Mexico Beach. I love it the way it is. I don't want it's reputation to be spread and lots of people to flock to a beautiful, friendly small town and ruin it the way "progress" happened in Panama City. If you come, please don't spoil it.

This is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen! Pure white sand & so very clean, with lots of space & family friendly if you don't mind being on Highway 98. It was very quiet & relaxing for our family Thanksgiving weekend. The visitor centre is open on weekdays, so you can get local info. There isn't much to do - focus is on fishing - but water sports would be good weather permitting, the sea is very calm. We loved just walking the beach, collecting shells & relaxing. Nothing going on in the evenings after you've sampled the few local restaurants. This is just a perfect chilling place.
