I am saddened to say that this hotel in my neighborhood was less than welcoming to me and my family during a very very stressful time. We had to evacuate our homes due to hurricane Irma. We had no electricity for 10 days. The hotel manager refused to give us the senior citizen rate or any discounted rate. That's called price gouging. They said those rates were no longer available. Sooo many other hotels in the area reduced their rates and added amenities at no extra charge. The only extremely wonderful person in the entire hotel was a bellman named Joseu. He went out of his way to be pleasant and accommodating. I hope to never ever have to stay in this hotel again. I certainly wouldn't stay by choice.

PRICE GOUGING hotel has jacked up the rates. They claim because of "high demand". Of course with thousands of local residents having no power and/or water, or unavailability of generators, they need a temporary alternative. They have steadily raised rates while not providing basic hotel services such as room cleaning, yesterday there was no running water for until night time, yet they raised the rates further. The front desk staff is stone cold, and it is obvious the management and ownership could care less that an emergency situation and natural disaster has negatively affected millions of people. They should be thankful that they are at 100% occupancy and charging their guests exorbitant prices for crummy food. But that's not enough, they have to hike the rates to cash in. They are greedy and uncaring. My family and I have no choice for the moment but will never patronize this hotel or the Marriott Courtyard Dadeland across the street ever again and will discourage everyone we come in contact with to do the same. The Courtyard went from $114 a night on Saturday and Sunday to $199 a night on Monday. I will contact the State Attorney's office to report them.

Hello Miguel S,

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay. In regard to pricing, we evaluate pricing on a daily basis and consider many factors including things such as month, day of week, market demand and competitor pricing to mention a few. Our prices during this time have been within the market average and our intent is not to charge more than what falls within our normal range for this period of time, regardless of extenuating circumstances. It is true that we did lose water for a limited period of time and worked hard to insure our guests were comfortable in light of the situation and services returned to normal as soon as possible. We apologize that we did not meet your expectations and will continue to work hard to insure we meet the needs of all our guests.

My husband and I always stay at the Miami Marriott Dadeland
Weather it's for business or holiday
Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, so lovely.Couldn't have been more sweet, giving me tips on school shopping. Our GPS in car we rented wasn't working so staff at the front drsk assisted along with a helpful map.
The guys at valet parking ensuring our car was parked and brought for us when we were ready to use. If nothing else had gone right with hotel the staff ensured we left with a good impression as always Fortunately everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in both bar where we had lunch and restaurant where we had dinner. Food was beyond good and great value for money and service in both places attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I could go on but suffice it to say I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit soon .

Just finished three nights here and welcomed the upscale look. This must have been remodeled lately as everything was fresh and modern. The very clean Dadeland mall is within walking distance as well as numerous restaurants.

Clean and convenient is pretty much all I need. Good stay.

The room was smelling moldy. There was a humidifier on the passageway. It was impossible sleep. I had two sleepless nights. It appear that something was wrong with the carpet. The pungent smell was so strong , it was almost stifling.

Room Tip: If you happen to come upon such condition, it isa best to check out rather than feel miserable from...
