Stayed here whilst in Miami. It was clean and comfortable with no frills attached. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was offered. But when I say breakfast I say it easily..... it was coffee in paper cups & bread rolls and a few pastries. One morning we came down at 945am (breakfast was to be served to 10am) and there was nothing left. When we asked we were told it would be at least half an hour before they could get us anything. Very disappointing. The location of the hotel is great with one block away to beach and another block to bus services etc. Hotel needs updating!!!

I've stayed at The Viscay a couple of times. Located one block west of Ocean Dr, it's conveniently located. Desk staff always friendly and helpful. And you can schedule tourist plannings from the lobby. I will definitely stay again in the future.

The customer service was great! They were very helpful in aiding in finding parking which can be a task in S.Beach. The public parking garage @ 7th St is the way to go. The room was very clean and quaint. The shower was AMAZING! It had plenty of hot water and water pressure. The bed was very comfy. The room was basic but got the job done. It's a historic hotel but have been renovated.

This was basically a motel - in no stretch of the imagination should this hotel receive anything more than 2 stars. I will say that upon check in, the gentleman we worked with was very nice and "upgraded" us to a larger room. But that's really where the positives stop. The hotel is very dated - walls are dirty, halls and rooms are not well lit. There are zero services. Most the time there isn't even anyone at the front desk. The breakfast was a joke and they should honestly stop offering breakfast because what they offered was so unappealing. They only had decaf coffee (in pods), some plain rolls and some old croissants, and OJ. Nothing fresh - no fruit, yogurt, cereal. Very basic. We actually skipped it altogether and headed across the street to a great little coffee/breakfast place.

Room was clean and very large. But it was very dated.

I should have paid a little bit more and stayed at a much nicer, brighter, more Miami-esque hotel. But I was foolish and booked, for the last time on Hotwire and their reviews for this place absolutely did not match the low level of this hotel. But I learned my lesson. No more hotwire for me.

We stayed for a few nights while Miami Boat Show was going on. The hotel is a traditional art deco building so it is very dated. However, it is clean and well kept. Our room was very spacious and comfortable from the standpoint of plenty of room, storage, kitchen, etc. Our biggest issue is that it is VERY loud. Our room faced Collins on the 2nd floor and it was impossible to sleep at night, in the morning, naptime, nothing. That was our biggest issue that would possibly keep us from returning.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that does not face Collins.
