The Hotel was okay, but I think too expensiv. The rooms must be modernized and renovate.
The location was very good, in the middle of south beach. The room was clean and normal fitted.
The drinks during the happy hour (7 to 8 pm) are good. The staff were kindly.

This hotel is by far the worst hotel that I've stayed at. The "staff" Juan, Angel, and the so called manager Amanda are all an example of how customer service goes wrong. There was prostitution that was going on, someone attempted to break into the room across from mine. There was also 2 other fights that evening, and this was just the first day! When I contacted the staff about my stay, I was brushed off. They told me multiple times that I would be contacted as well as refunded, never happened. There is no accountability, no customer servicing and just an all around horrible place to stay if you value your safety. This place COULD be nice, if the staff wasn't so shady. The only staff that serviced were the housekeeping staff, so thank you to them! Other than that DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, YOU WILL TOTALLY REGRET IT!! AND THE HOTEL WILL NOT TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. SAVE YOURSELF A HEAD ACHE AND MONEY AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

Room Tip: Do not stay here!!!!! The location is ok, but the staff is awful and shady!!! This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in Miami.

We stayed at the Chesterfield Hotel in Miami Beach for 4 nights. The room is quite small, but nice. The Hotel location is great. Just one street back from Ocean Drive and the beach. There is a lot of life in the area and good places to do shopping or go out. The Hotel has a nice front porch, where you can sit an enjoy a coffee or a drink. The Hotel offers free complimentary drinks for all guests between 7-8 pm. And you have access to a nearby hotel with a very nice roof top swimming pool.

Based on reviews and my own experience, seems like a total crapshoot as to what your experience will be like at the hotel.

Check-in was really slow. There was only one person ahead of me and 3 people behind the desk, but just one employee actually checking people in. Note they will ask you to blindly sign a scanner agreeing to a $100 hold on your credit card.

The room: Small, cramped, and dark. There was a single bulb chandelier and one small lamp between the two beds. They appeared to be 60 watt bulbs and the chandelier was right over the lamp/nightstand between the two beds. No other lights in the room. Also, no outlets to plug anything into and the outlets seem like they are blatantly a safety/fire hazard - old and not installed properly and would not hold anything you plugged into them.

While the room looked clean, one of the beds had a still-wet sheet. Upon further inspection, I realized it was wet with urine. Tried calling the front desk upon realizing this (11:30PM) and nobody would pick up the phone.

The bathroom was tiny and dark - a round sink with no shelf space at all. No toilet paper holder - the toilet paper sat on a ridge on the sink. There was also about a 1 1/2 inch step up into the bathroom which means you will stub your toe if you don't pay attention. No light around the sink mirror. Women especially will hate these bathrooms.

There is a tiny ironing board - one you are supposed to put on a table - problem is, there is not table to place it on. The iron had a water leak.

The closet - dark and dirty - I did not want to place any clothes on the shelves.

Several broken/cracked windows.

WiFi was inconsistent.

Seems like I should give one star, right? Well, my particular room was actually pretty quiet and the bed itself (the one without the wet urine sheet) was pretty comfortable. I requested a higher floor away from the elevator. If you are near the stairwell, you're going to hear the bar downstairs until midnight.

So while it may be decorated well, it's really lipstick on a pig and definitely some safety violations/hazards. Great location with lots of good bars and restaurants close by, but I would never stay here again.

Room Tip: Request a top floor away from the stairs/elevator and not above the bar or facing the street

I am a frequent traveler to Miami and have stayed at the Chesterfield before and this by far was the worst.. Went to beach to return to no hot water and told that should be fixed shortly. Not being able to shower missed a business dinner and still no hot water for almost 24 hours.. Complained to Angel and Chris in management and was told they couldn't do anything but had to call cheaptickets to get a night comped. Called cheaptickets and told complete opposite that hotel would be the one to comp.. so basically was given the runaround by Angel the manager. 5 days later still trying to reach Amanda the regional manager and no return call or email nor did they try to rectify the issue. Not only that the phone in our room didn't work so each time we had to either walk down to lobby or call from our cell.. I have never been treated so poorly by hotel especially not wanting to do right by someone that spent over 300 at their property...
