Limoncello is a scant 2-3 miles from my home and yet we had never eaten there. It is hidden in a small strip mall at the corner of US 41 and old 41 in North Naples. The restaurant is surprisingly large and the food turned out to be very good. We arrived in time for the $13.95 special menu (earlybird) and also in time for the half-price wine and drinks happy hour. The special comes with a choice of Caesar or house salad or alternatively soup, one of about 10 entrées and dessert. My wife had eggplant Parmesan, something she has frequently and declared it to be the best she's ever had. I ordered scaloppini piccata, a pork tenderloin dish. Both were very good. We enjoyed the house salad and tiramisu for dessert. Total bill including one glass of wine, $33.28.

We will definitely be back

We were seated minutes after 6:30 P.M. Noted a $13.95 "summer special" brochure in the menu. Asked waiter if we qualified for the special and his answer was a curt no.

This was a summer evening with few patrons in the place. OK we're not off to a good start but we go ahead and order a chicken caccitore dish and a chicken parm - no soup or salad were ordered because of the uncompromising attitude. We each ordered a glass of (not fine) wine at $11 each. While waiting for our meals to arrive we gave our jaws a workout with the hard, probably day old, rolls.

Dinners arrived and can only be classified as beyond bad. The underlying chicken in each dish appeared to be a prepackaged, carefully weighed and measured, mass produced item from some wholesale purveyor - absolutely bland. Luckily the parm. at least had cheese on top to give it some flavor. The spaghetti side was covered in a red, glutinous mass that tasted like it had come out of a Chef Boyardee can. The other dish was so bland as to be almost tasteless.

I don't know about the other waiters but ours was in serious need of training. No descriptions of the food were offered, he hovered seemingly trying to pressure us into hurrying up with our drink order, never came to check on us and perfunctorily delivered our check. After he delivered the check he came back and offered us a glass of limoncello. I was tempted to say no but decided to take it to at least add some value to the meal.

Although the physical surroundings are very pleasant you can't eat them. We came expecting a nice Italian dinner and were very disappointed. As many other commenters have said - there are too many good restaurants in Naples to put up with a restaurant that serves such low quality fare at such relatively high prices.

This place does not deserve a second try.

We have been here twice. Once, when we came in late from out of town (5/22) and they were essentially closed, and the owner said he would put a plate together for us. Then he gave us a glass of wine while we waited. We got the Caprese Salad, Limoncello Salad and Chicken Parmesan - all delicious!

We went back to take my mother 2 days later (5/24) and had the special appetizer, Pasta Bolognese and Penne Mare E Monti - all of which were delicious again!!

The service was great. This restaurant has been there for 3 years and I'd like to see it stay for another 30!!!!

We'll definitely go back.

My wife and I took advantage of the Early Bird Dinner at this wonderful Italian restaurant. The ambience met my wife's expectations, table cloths, candle, subdued lighting and, not unimportantly, Italian popular music, audible but not intrusive. The dinner included a salad, an entree and a dessert of panna cotta or tiramisu. There are eight to ten selections on the entree list. The pasta dishes were authentic and very tasty. The house merlot went down so easilyl it had to be followed by another. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We will be back the next time we are in Naples.
