Attended a performance of Terry Waldo - "This is Ragtime," WOW what a delightful show! Wife and I really enjoyed it. All the better in the completely refurbished threatre and it's "Easy access parking lot."
Show started on time, and Mr. Waldo was fantastic in hes performance. He played, talked, demonstrated various cords explaining how ragtime came to be. Interesting some of his stories of famous people he has known too.

Recently went for a shadowcast. First time in the building since they remodeled it. What a fantastic job they did. The place is absolutely beautiful. Good selection of drinks and snacks as well.

The Reilly Arts Center is a beautiful venue for concerts, plays, & the local symphony orchestra. Staff is made up of very friendly volunteers, they truly take pride in their job and the Center. This venue has great potential, they need to book mainstream adult contemporary acts & rock bands instead of cover bands, it would be a great step in their growth. Looking forward to seeing if they will start to do this on a steady basis instead of one-offs. The theater is immaculate, acoustics are very good also.

Love the arts, and have tried the Reilly four times, but unfortunately will NEVER go again. Sound OK once; second time was painfully loud. Third time they placed speakers in front of the stage (3' in front of us!!!), and it was so loud we had to leave immediately. The fourth time we could understand about one-third of the words.
It seems they only have 3 speakers on the front ceiling, meaning they blast it loud enough to be heard in the very back, and if you're in the front you need earplugs. Their sound system lacks even the basic sophistication you'd find in a high school auditorium. It's a shame to have a nice venue like this and not invest in even a minimally adequate sound system. If you're a senior with the slightest hearing loss you'll have little chance of enjoying the show.

We recently saw a Gallagher show here and were quite impessed with seating set-up. They have a nice bar out in the lobby and a volunteer staff that assists when needed We're looking forward to attending future shows here.
