My wife & I really enjoyed our stay here. Our Lodge was very clean, well air conditioned, & very spacious. And considering the amount of creatures/insects outside, none of them found their way inside. The river cruises were brilliant. Saw loads of monkeys, birds, one crocodile, & plenty of boars, lizards etc. It was a great experience having to eat at night in almost darkness due to the bugs enjoying the light too much. The food was good and the Tiger beer was cheap. We thought bugs/insects might be a problem but although there was plenty of them they never really bothered us. The occasional beautiful green beetle would clumsily fly into you but that was it. Did not get bit once which is a result. I really loved this place!

I just came back from Sukau and it is a wonderful experience, especially so for me, a wildlife lover. The rooms in Bilit Rainforest Lodge is huge, comfortable and most important CLEAN! The attached bathroom is huge too, with a small window, able to listen to the music of the jungle while enjoying my hot shower. I just cant believe i slept in the middle of the jungle forest. The food is great too, buffet style, i would say a good selection since we are living in the forest and shouldn't be too picky. Staffs very friendly and helpful.

i am grateful that i chose this lodge, it looks pretty new, and i like it new, that's what suits me. Was told that there are more chances of sighting at Bilit Lodge here as in recent years, the animals have been moving upriver. And true enough, during my 3 river cruises a day, i managed to spot estuarines, proboscis monkeys, orang utan, egrets, storm stork, wild boar and my favourite cute borneo pgymy elephants ... All thanks to the travel operator (just in case you wanna know who, its Amazing Borneo Tours) who recommended this place to us. we also booked a couple of tours with them, mount kinabalu package and water rafting. good and prompt service i must say.

A pity we couldnt get on the tour to the turtle island as it was fully booked. will try my luck again.

This was a nice relaxing place to stay at. The chalets were a nice size with comfy beds and quiet. Food was pleantiful and enjoyable. The real highlights were the river trips. We had three in total and managed to see most of the local wildlife including Orangutans and Elephants. The walk through the rainforest to the ox-bow lake was less enjoyable as it felt more like a mad dash through the forest than an enjoyable stroll giving you enough time to have a proper look. The lodge is a long way away from anywhere which is great if you want to escape but this does therefore require a long drive to reach it

The rooms are big enough for dance: we had two double beds and one king size single bed. Bathroom and toilet are different rooms. Terrace is big too. Rooms are also clean and very well air conditioned.

Location is excellent. Lodge is located just next to a river. River cruises are must-see! Guides are very relaxed, funny and their eagle-eyes can spot so many animals. Multiple boats do co-operation so when one spots something, other can join them.

There are plenty of food but the quality could be better. The taste is good but there could be more spices and we missed sauces. Lunch has a very good extra feature: free ice cream!

We spent one night here as part of our 3 day/2 night tour to Sandakan and were pleasantly surprised. Having been told the lodges/chalets we would be staying at for our trip would be basic and having had the most basic lodge ever the night before, we weren’t really sure what to expect. We arrived at the river to find we would need a boat to get to the lodge! Its only a 5 minute ride and as we arrived, first impressions were good! We were shown to our chalet which had a porch with a hammock on it and then inside was massive! There were 3 beds (there were only 2 of us!), a bathroom and a separate toilet area!

We got 3 meals there- all very nice. There was quite a bit of choice.

Trips- we did the afternoon boat ride as part of our tour and saw proboscis monkeys, macaques, hornbills, other exotic birds, a wild boar and then on our way back when the sun was setting and we had all given up hope, we saw a wild male orang-utan! We then joined up with another 4 people to go on the night time boat ride and saw some more birds (owls and a kingfisher) and crocodiles!!!!!!
