I have recently taken a vacation in September to Walt Disney World. It was our first time at this resort, and we absolutely loved it! First off, it is just a few minutes away from Epcot and Hollywood Studios, so you do not have to waste any time waiting for a bus or a boat. The rooms are very nice and quiet and have decor that gives you the "boardwalk feel."The resort offers many amazing amenities, whether it's the great food at the Boardwalk Bakery and the Flying Fish, or the grand entrance and Victorian chandeliers greeting you as you walk in, this hotel overall is a great hotel for everyone!

Room Tip: The quietest rooms are on the first floor of outer building with views of the quiet pool.

Some people love this property, and others are disappointed with it, so do your research. It definitely appeals more to an older crowd, but there's truly something for everyone. You don't see the characters and theming as much here as you do at some resorts, but everything is first class in its own way. It has the look and vibe of an upscale boardwalk hotel, if there is such a thing in real life. The best thing about staying here is being able to walk right out your door into the action, food, and music of the boardwalk. A boat ride away from Hollywood Studios and walking distance to Epcot make visiting those parks a breeze. Buses to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom can involve some wait times. The pool here is one of Disney's best, with a roller coaster themed pool slide, a merry go round bar, and great music. Build time in your schedule to relax and enjoy the resort, and you won't leave disappointed.

Room Tip: If you plan to spend much time in the room, the balcony view rooms are a great way to enjoy the boardwalk and feel a part of the action.

Just came back from a 7 day trip at the boardwalk inn. Check inn was very efficient. Arrived at 10:00am and a room was available. 3rd floor. Not the best view but still had a balcony and close to the elevator, which is a plus. There was also a day bed in the room which helped tremendously as we were four adults. Literally a 5 min walk to Epcot but Hollywood studios about 15 min. Would definitely return. Rooms very clean and staff very friendly. Bon voyage breakfast was ok. Would go somewhere else for breakfast. Bakery was ok but not great. Good if you want pastry or bagels but the breakfast sandwich was just ok. All in all great time. Would highly recommend

Disney knows how to make you feel at home. My stay at the Disney Boardwalk inn while expensive was worth every cent. As I rose early each morning (6AM) to the quiet sounds of the water ,fresh smell of the well manicured beautiful gardens I took in views from the deck that directly faced the water toward Epcot and enjoyed coffee with freshly baked items from the boardwalk bakery as I watched the friendly boats (free disney transportation to the parks) pull in and out. I could have stayed all day on the deck with such a great waterfront view however going to the parks is a part of the enjoyment.

Each night as I returned there was a host of activity and entertainment on the boardwalk from the ESPN center, the boardwalk entertainment, and great restaurant s. The flying fish signature dining experience was just that , a signature experience of fine fresh seafood that I will remember for the rest of my life.

The resort, lobby, rooms, pool, exercise facilities are clean enough to eat off of. The staff are pleasant, efficient, knowledgable and interested in ensuring your stay is great.

The resorts water view balcony room is the best for view of the fireworks for infants away from the firework noise yet experience the fireworks, the disabled or elderly who may not want to be a part of the crowd, or for private viewing.

the decor was excellent from the lobby , the resort rooms and well as the outside community areas there were great disney themed decor items that were not overpowering yet enough to excite the children(and guest of all ages) about enjoying the inside and out side areas of the resort. the boardwalk Inn is designed with the atlantic City boardwalk theme with a disney touch.

The pool area is staffed with 2 to 3 lifeguards. many area hotels do not have lifeguards on duty.

the convince of the resort being in the center of all the attraction in walking distance to epcot, a 10 minute boat ride to hollywood studios, and a bus ride to Downtown Disney Shops (now called Disney Springs) the magic kingdom and animal kingdoms (Disney free transportation). Parking at the resort is free as well as at the parks a savings of at least $22.00 per day.

When staying at this resort, Disneys Magic Express picks you up at the airport , transports you to the resort and allows you to begin your vacation (your luggage magically appears in the hotel room), this is a savings of a minimum of $75.00 for transportation to the hotel. Not to mention the fee of returning to the airport. Package delivery is also free at the disney resort. While having a conversion with a guest staying at a non disney hotel I was informed about package delivery fees per pound of which she had ordered special alkaline water which was not sold in the hotel. the water cost for a six pack container was $12.98 and the hotel charge for accepting the parcel was $16.00.

The Disney Dining Plan is another benefit I was offered. with the dining plan you get and unforgettable disney experience with quality food. more food than you can eat. for breakfast , I enjoyed coffee and a danish from the bakery. (not using dining plan)
For lunch ,I ate a counter meal (1/2 roasted chicken mashed potatoes and green beans, with drink . Dinner time I had a sit down dinner with drink. I also was entitled to 2 snacks.

You cannot buy the dining plan if you do not stay at a disney resort. I would suggest not to get caught without it. the disney plan can be used in the parks as well as disney springs. should you have a complaint regarding a restaurant as you know the resolution is up to the restaurant. Having a complaint regarding a restaurant with the disney meal plan will involve the disney corp (which will investigate and resolve) and customer satisfaction is their aim.

No one can do disney like Disney. there are many hotels in the orlando area surrounding disney however Disney Resorts is the MGM grand if Micky Got your Money rest assured they will resolve any issues you have quickly, in your favor, and welcome your comments to improve your customer experience.

Room Tip: The resort water view w/balcony is great to view the fireworks when not feeling like being in the crowd.

We loved visiting the bar at this hotel. It is away from any noisy tv's it is Very Well Stocked from Veuve to 30 year old Port, well lit from the balcony outside and the bar staff know their stuff.
Our children (like all Disney) were welcome but we happily all sat round playing one of the board games on offer.
We went there often.
