Our small family travelled to Walt Disney World for our first visit this month. So much fun!

We stayed a few nights at the Beach Club. The resort was amazing. Beautiful lobby, grounds and location. The resort is meticulously cared for, with the gardens and walkways being very clean. The small beach facing Crescent lake had swings to sit and look at the Boardwalk area. The resort was conveniently placed to several restaurants, other hotels and two theme parks. Funnily, we didn't visit Epcot or Hollywood Studios. We picked this location as it was centrally located & for the pool.

We booked a woods view room and had checked in online weeks prior to arrival. During online check in, Disney ask your room preferences. We had requested a high floor room, and a larger balcony. We received a high floor and a sit out balcony with two chairs facing the woods & Epcot. We could see the top of the 'ball' at Epcot. It was really peaceful & quite. The room was certainly large enough, with two queen beds. The room was very clean and housekeeping did a great job. A small bar fridge is provided for food/ drinks. The bathroom itself was on the smaller side, however had a double vanity with lots of bench space outside the bathroom.

Checking in was fine, and most interactions with staff was easy & pleasant. Just a few delays experienced with concierge staff.

The pool was the best. Our daughter was in love with the pool. The lazy river, the beach, the slides. It was all great. We never felt it was too busy. The only complaint was the towels they give out at the pool could have been better, as they are essentially a bath towel (not beach towel size). We also used the sandcastle club, the onsite kids club. They were great & our daughter had the best time, including meeting Chip & Dale.

The only real issue was the bus transport / schedule. There was no 'schedule' just every 20 minutes, but from when? This was the same from all the parks & Disney Springs. The electronic board listing the next bus arrival is not in the lobby, so you have to walk down to the transport stop to obtain this information. Surely with the My Disney Experience App & GPS they could create a virtual bus schedule advising when the next bus is expected to arrive in the app. This would definitely help if you had a reservation or after a long day at the parks.

We loved this resort and would highly recommend.

This place is AMAZING!!! The convenience of having a back-door entrance to Epcot trumps all! But wait, there's more! The hotel is beautiful - from the well-manicured grounds that truly remind you of a beach town to the rooms that are tastefully decorated. They had this sweet black and white picture of Minnie and Mickey flying a kite at the beach. I've never considered actually putting up Disney artwork in my home - until now. The little ice cream shop is great and eating breakfast in the quiet courtyard was a perfect start to the day. The rooms and hotel are quite despite the size. It's great to be so close to the Boardwalk as well.

Let's talk about the pool for a minute though. OMG its amazing! There's a pirate ship with slides and a shallow pool for the littles. There's a lazy river and the bottom of the pool is sand! It's huge! Such a relaxing retreat from the craziness of the parks. I love this place and will stay here again and again. its worth every penny.

The fantastic location of this hotel is what has drawn me back to it three times (well, Beach Club twice, Yacht Club once). The beach and yacht club are adjoining hotels and share the pool area, each hotel has its own restaurant, shop... and they are themed differently. On balance I prefer the Yacht Club, there are better views from the rooms and it is a bit calmer than the Beach Club in the lobby and shop areas- probably because of the DVC accommodation at the Beach.
Initially we were allocated a ground floor room near the Epcot entrance, after a couple of days I asked to move to a higher floor - the noise at ground floor level was significant, with cleaners and gardeners starting really early on the paths. The patio area was unusable too. The move was accommodated no issue and we relocated to a third floor room overlooking the quiet pool which we really liked.
The main pool area is great for families, well kept and maintained- like all Disney water areas the lifeguards are plentiful and very observant.
Rooms are great, they have been refurbished in the last couple of years - some of the Disney theming has reduced which is a shame.
The shop had really helpful staff but the hot food prep area was chaotic - there seemed to be no rhyme or reason as to whose food got prepared first, multiple staff serving one customer whilst others left waiting. Really busy at breakfast especially. Had a couple of drinks in the bar one evening, again chaotic. The staff seemed totally unprepared to run a bar, dirty plates were stacked up on tables. This is a great hotel and the location is fab, walk into Epcot and a few minutes boat ride to Hollywood Studios. Beaches and Cream is well worth a visit!

We checked into the Beach Club Resort and had a most wonderful experience. We were upgraded to the Stone Harbor Club Level which included snacks and drinks. The hotel is within walking distance to Epcot and at night you can see the laser firework show from the bridge.

Room Tip: You can walk in & out of Epcot from this hotel

We stayed here over Labor Day through the Saturday before Hurricane Irma Hit. I have to say this is our first Deluxe Resort stay at Disney World, and we probably will never do anything less than Deluxe again! We usually stay at moderates or even values. The resort is beautiful. So Clean and well taken care of. The pool is just amazing! My kids are swimming obsessed and we visited the pool every day of our trip, even multiple times during the day. Because it is so big, the pool never felt crowded. We got to the resort around 10am and our room wasn't ready. I asked to see if there was any room ready that we could take just so we could get situated. They had one and switched us no problem. It was nice being in the room that early. I love the ferry option to Hollywood Studios and the easy walk to Epcot.
Since the airport had closed at 5pm on Saturday, the day we were to return home, and we had an afternoon flight, I got a little nervous our flight could have been cancelled. So they were able to get me a room for a few extra days, at a hurricane rate, that was completely refundable had our flight still left on time. Which, thankfully, it did and I received a full refund for the reservation. It is nice they work with you and give you that kind of option.
I can't wait to go back!!
