We stayed here to visit universal and Disney. It was very convenient. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes and you’re only 5 minutes from universal, 20 minutes from Disney and Disney springs and 1 hour from legoland. You’re near to every restaurant and store you could want including the outlets. You’re right by the highway so everything is conveniently located. The cafe is wonderful and has great variety. The bar has great drinks and the pool is warm with a nice breeze because of its location. We were on the 9th floor of tower 1 and it was great because we had a partial pool view and great view of the roller coasters. We had a two bedroom suite and it had a lot of shelves, only 3 drawers and a small closet but we fit all of our stuff. The fridge is larger than usual and you have a microwave sink and coffee maker. Starbucks is in the hotel. The texting service offered by the staff is quick and convenient. The design of the hotel is airy and beautiful. I loved everything about it

I love this hotel! It’s only 5 minutes away and the shuttle is so convenient. It comes every 15 minutes. The staff is friendly and helpful at the hotel. The cafe and bar are wonderful. The pool is warm but there’s always a nice breeze. We were on floor 9 tower 1. We had a perfect view of the parks and the pool even though we didn’t have a pool view room. I love the text service. Anytime I needed anything I could text and it was delivered quickly. The pizza delivery service is great too

We stayed in a two bedroom suite with three queen beds. The room is not huge but it’s big enough. The separate room is small, there’s a bed, two side tables attached to the wall, a stool, and a small closet. There is a bench styled table in the kitchenette with a fridge without a freezer, microwave and sink. This room overflows into the bedroom with the two beds, there’s a place built into the wall for you to unpack clothes if you’d like. There are televisions in both rooms. A double sink outside of the actual bathroom, which was a plus for us. As previous reviews stated it is a small room for it to be considered a suite.

The beds were ok, the pillows were uncomfortable for me but my boys and husband could care less. There were sheets and a cover that resembled a sheet on the bed (bring your own throw blanket). Housekeeping did not clean our room, no biggie for us, I actually prefer no one comes into my room. I sent a text or called, towels, toiletries and toilet tissue delivered. Trash and dirty towels sat outside room they collected them.

The pool is open late, they have a great workout room, game room, poolside bar and a place to fill water bottles before you head to the park.

We utilized the shuttle and Uber to avoid parking fees. To be honest I believe that was a great decision unless you plan on going other places outside of universal. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance, there’s a place within the resort and you can use delivery services.

We did take advantage off the extra hour. I’m not sure what the other reviewers were talking about. All of the rides were operational for our family at 8 am. On the app it showed (opens at 9) but they were actually running at 8. We were able to ride the motorbike at new coaster before 9:30 am. We arrived at 7:45 am, there’s a line. Be sure to walk up and look to the left, especially at Island of Adventure there’s always lanes open with nobody in the line or very few people. The same for universal and the water park, the rides my boys wanted to ride (coasters and big water slides) were all open.

Hope this review helps you plan your trip. We had a great time and it was at a reasonable price. Look for deals and utilize guest services if something isn’t going right, they really go above and beyond to make sure you have a fabulous time. The staff at Surfside Inn was amazing from check in to checkout!!
