We were in town for the American Athletic Conference collegiate tennis tournament championships held at the USTA National Campus. The campus is mere five minute drive from the hotel, so it was a perfect location for us.

The hotel seems relatively new, and it was clean throughout. Staff always wore masks correctly as far as what we could see. The "reduced" breakfast options really just meant that they served you. You still could get hot scrambled eggs, sausage and breakfast potatoes as well as a number of cold options.

From a location perspective for us, it was excellent. Two fabulous restaurants are hundreds of feet away which is also excellent. The staff was very nice; again excellent.

This review doesn't give them a five-star rating for maintenance purposes. The electronic curtains in our suite did not operate. We complained to the hotel staff who said they would send someone to our room. We waited over an hour, and no one ever came. If they came later, they did nothing to fix the electronic window curtains.

The microwave had a broken leg, so it rested at an angle in the kitchenette. Even a lessor skilled handyman could fashion a replacement leg to allow the microwave to sit level. Instead, they had a folded paper towel prop it up a bit.

The caulk around the toilet in the bathroom looked like it was done by an eighth grader - very wide and messy.

All that being said, we would return, because the location is perfect for visiting the USTA National Campus.

Overall, I rate this Residence Inn location a 4 out of 5.

The good: Exceptionally clean and modern feeling. There are 3 nice (pricey) restaurants in walking distance. Safe area. Friendly staff. Free to-go breakfast during Covid. Quiet.

The bad: You have to drive 15-30 minutes to get to other areas with restaurants or anything to do. This area felt boring. There is a design flaw with shower and no matter what you do, water floods bathroom floor (the showers do not have doors).

Overall, a pretty good stay. This is a great option for a quick stayover or if you are in Orlando for business. The staff was very nice. I would not stay here if I were in town for tourism.

Courtyard/Residence Inn @ Lake Nona is hands-down one of my favorite Marriott-brand locations in the Orlando area. I’ve stayed here several times over the years. Always impeccably clean and well-maintained. Their breakfast options are superior to the other Orlando-area locations (including iced coffee - yay!). Also, during the COVID19 pandemic, their service provisions were the most well-thought out amongst locations. I stayed at other Courtyards in the central Florida area during the pandemic and the Lake Nona location was by far the best in experience. Great front desk staff & managers!

Room tip: For extra cleaning, be sure to request "feather-free" room.

I was on a road trip, relocating from LA to Miami, with my 2 cats. This hotel was perfect. They are doing everything right re Covid-19 guidelines (unlike some of the other Marriott run properties I stayed at along the way). The staff were very nice. The room was so good! Huge, separate living and bedroom, full kitchen, nice bathroom. Breakfast is included and they are doing it as a grab n go so there is no communal dining or anything risky. HIghly recommended!

Loved it!! We were visiting an elderly family member to do some house repairs for her and this was a GREAT stay! Full kitchen, pool, fitness room AND a great breakfast we would take back to our room. Other hotels, even though they advertise breakfast are either NOT doing anything during the Covid issue OR it’s a snack bar and maybe a cold breakfast burrito you heat up in the microwave.

These nice folks cooked everything, had it all in small containers to keep it non contact and even had fresh fruit in cups.

Great setup, comfortable beds and we enjoyed ourselves!! THANK YOU!!
