Despite the negative reviews regarding Hilton staff I took a chance and booked this hotel for a getaway with my 17-year old daughter for her spring break. Upon arriving at the hotel I inquired if there were any upgrades so that we could see the fireworks. I was told sure for an extra $400 you can upgrade to a suite with a pool and fireworks view. The room wasn’t ready, no worries we’ll go to the parks and come back. Get a text that room is ready and that’s when this hotel’s lack of customer service and training became apparent. Received our key only to find out that we are on first floor. How can you see fireworks when blocked by the building? Oh, we are sorry your suite has a pool view not fireworks view. Okay...that isn’t why I paid as extra $400 upgrade. Desk clerk calls manager. Manager says there isn’t anything they can do because now they are sold out. Trying to make the best out of a negative situation, we go to the room. The A/C barely cools the room, the sink leaks, and there are apparent drywall patches all throughout the bedroom. Only positive is that there is quite a bit of room in the suite.
As someone who travels each week for work and routinely stays in Hilton branded hotels, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.More
