Review of Ormond Tomb Park

Ormond Tomb Park
Ranked #39 of 102 things to do in Ormond Beach

If your up in the Loop in North Ormond this is a nice place to stop and let the kids run some energy off, plenty to climb and play on, pavilions and bathrooms, you won't find this place is very busy, you will probably enjoy the park by yourself on most days.

When cruising the Old Dixie Highway, Ormond Tomb Park is a good place for a rest stop.
It is the final resting place for James Ormond, an original plantation owner and namesake of Ormond Beach. The site has a playground for the kids and restrooms for the needy. Plenty of free parking. Great place to meet others or take a break from a bike ride through the loop. Free history lesson included!

This park is right off the road along the Loop. It's worth stopping if you have an interest. I can't really imagine anyone going all the way out there for the playground or to see the grave?? The actual grave is tucked in the back of the property, and there is no path leading to it (I was on the look out for snakes and other creepy critters). There is a sign close to the road that tells you about Ormond. At least there are restrooms and a space to stretch your legs is need be!
