If you always wanted to go to a biker bar but were afraid... go to this one.
You will quickly find out... WE ARE ALL HERE TO HAVE FUN.
Doug (the owner) says, "WE HAVE A NO FIGHT POLICY", so there has never been a fight. We all want to be invited back & we all are welcome any time.
Anyone who says, "rough crowd and a little scary", never sat at the bar and said hello!
I was a little apprehensive, the first time I walked in, but these folks are friendly. I look like a banker and I'm safe and accepted here.
The music: This place is a national treasure. Why, you ask...
DICKEY BETTS walks in with his guitar and jams with several of the bands that play here.
For those who don't know...
Mr. Betts is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, and composer best known as a founding member of The Allman Brothers Band. He was inducted with the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 and also won a best rock performance Grammy Award for his instrumental "Jessica" in 1996. He is on Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time list. His guitar partnership with Duane Allman, introducing melodic twin guitar harmony and counterpoint which "rewrote the rules for how two rock guitarists can work together, completely scrapping the traditional rhythm/lead roles to stand toe to toe". So, like I said, He and this place are national treasures.
I have never seen a bad band here.
Reasonable drink prices & the pizza is good
