Description: Cafe Boulud at the Brazilian Court Hotel – one of Palm Beach’s most coveted dining destinations – has undergone a complete renovation! Experience the all new look and menu this season, just steps from Worth Avenue. The restaurant’s new design is lighter and elegant, achieved with unique touches like a shimmery ceiling made from sea shells and Pecky Cyprus, improved lighting, and warm wood flooring surrounding the glowing bar. The newly expanded bar is dramatically backlit and casts a resplendent glow through the room. It’s a must for cocktails before dinner, with an inventive new cocktail list and craft beers on tap, or enjoy the crowd and scenery; food is served at the bar throughout the day. The newly renovated terrace and private dining rooms are a destination for entertaining in style, whether for a lavish event or to host a memorable wedding day. The menu balances signature Boulud dishes and French favorites inspired by his restaurants around the world, with a spotlight on the region’s incredible seafood and produce. During the high season, jackets are preferred. Shorts and beachwear are not permitted.

Visited Cafe Boulud in early January last year. Dined here again recently and had a more enjoyable experience. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Great flavors and very nice presentation. Curtis was great with us, outstanding service and the kitchen was great to work the tasting menu around our dietary restrictions. Definitely recommend it and will likely return from Fort Lauderdale.

We had visited the New York relatives of Cafe Boulud and were always satisfied and favorably impressed. This experience was quite a disappointment. Perhaps because it was a group dinner for about 30 people or perhaps because of what the organizers had arranged, but the result was clearly below our expectations. Arriving to the hotel and being guided into the inner patio around the fountain was quite pleasant. The weather was nice, the gardens beautiful and the appetizers and apperitives hit the right tone. However, the wines were just OK. Moving into the dining area, we started to notice that the wait staff was hurried and not very effective. We asked for water and later for bread: it never came. A replacement fork or knife took inordinately long, long enough for the food to cool. The chilled corn soup was tasty and delightful and the beet and endive salad was good. The duo of beef was not: the meat was raw and chewy and mostly, not very tasty. The short ribs were dry, stringy and hard to chew; the carrots were raw as were the potatoes. My seasonal fruit salad had seen better days: wilted strawberries and very acidic pineapple, with bruised pieces of cantaloupe, something you would expect on a commercial airliner, not a finer restaurant. The wines were the same as those served prior to dinner, so we focused on the water: it was cold.

Had dinner at Cafe Boulud while staying at the Brazilian Court hotel. Food and drinks were very good (had the hanger steak and calamari). Service was also excellent, with all the servers very attentive.

The seating outside was very nice with a view of the hotel courtyard and fountain. Not a cheap dinner but a place I would return to.
