Absolutely fabulous staff. The room was huge. Bed was comfortable. Had everything that we needed. The area was quiet. Close to a beautiful pier. Not sure where any poor ratings would come from as I have traveled tons for both business and pleasure and this was in the top 10%. We will be staying again.

Room smelled like pee . Hair in the tub and i had to lysol the place down before we could rest. We were tired from traveling and there were no other hotels nearby available, otherwise we would have left. I was in the hotel business for 20 years. It was the pits. My husband told the front desk. Nothing. Very disappointing for a 300.00 suite. They next night on our trip we stayed in a Holiday Inn Express in another town and it was amazing.

We have 24 hour front desk agents on staff to help with any issues you may encounter. Especially in situations like this, by our desk agents getting notified we could have addressed and corrected any issues immediately. We also have another property locally if we couldnt have met your expectations. Guest Satisfaction is our number one priority. We were traveling with a pet and had to pay the extra pet fee charge and then put in a stinky room. The first smelled of urine and the second had a musty/ mold smell. We thought if we turned on the AC and went and grabbed dinner it would be better. It was not and since we had the room over an hour we weren’t able to cancel. We would be charged for the full night. So you pay extra for having a pet and then get put in the worst rooms. The staff was friendly and the bed comfortable and clean.
A last minute sponatenous trip led us here to Mainstay suites as I hadn't had time to find a doggy sitter. This place was easy to get to, parking was great, breakfast was good, and all in all a very comfortable place. Best part was being able to bring Champ with us. He enjoyed the room too, and plenty of walking area and pet stations available. The best part was the "Letter to Furry Guests" written by the property manager. Very clever and cute! Would stay here again on our next visit!
This is a great place to stay when you want to go scalloping in Port St Joe area. The rooms are lean, not too small, not too large. There’s room for a lotta boats at this property. We’ll be back, for scalloping as well as for general outdoor fun.
