Description: The Hyppo is a gourmet popsicle shop that makes all of its own products using only fresh, natural ingredients. From fresh basil to ripe mangoes to blazing ghost peppers, you're sure to find flavor combinations here that expand the notion of what an ice pop can be. All pops are gluten free and vegetarian, and about half of our selection is dairy free. We use Florida evaporated cane juice to mildly sweeten the fruits and herbs before their flash-freeze onto a small birch stick. On a hot day in the historic district, this is the pinnacle of flavorful refreshment. Open late.

For a different kind of ice cream, definitely check out The Hyppo. It's fun, unique flavors, and great taste. We ordered the Mocha Cheesecake and the flavors were perfect and the ice cream very creamy. Highly recommend The Hyppo for an ice cream treat.

We skipped dessert at the Columbia Restaurant just to try the popsicles at the Hyppo. It was a good decision!
So flavorful and guilt-free because everything here is really healthy.

We visited the Hyppo Memorial Day and was really looking forward to a juicy frozen treat. Nice service but the flavors were outrageous- we purchased honey dew basil, spicy strawberry, pineapple cilantro, apple pie, and star fruit. ALL YUCK. If you're not adventurous with flavors avoid this place unless there are traditional flavors available. If it sounds yuck, it probably is.

If you, like me, grew up with popsicles where they might *say* they had flavors like banana, grape, or strawberry, only to have an actual flavor that is very different to the point where you have just concluded that popsicles, candies, and sports drinks have their own set of flavors best referred to just as red, blue, yellow, etc., then the Hyppo may shock you.

Because their popsicles actually taste like the fruits their names claim.

In the past, I've had their spicy hot chocolate fudgsicle, which messes with your head in amazing ways. It's hot. But it's cold. But it's hot. But it's cold!! This time, I got one that was just straight strawberry. And it was amazing. Amazing because I am not used to strawberry flavored things tasting like strawberries. It sends you into a philosophical daze: what does it say about the world when we are surprised that strawberry flavored things taste like strawberries? I don't know.

I do know that the treats at the Hyppo are always, always amazing!

My hubby had the strawberry keylime, and I had the Banilla vanana. So refreshing and yummy on a hot day!
