Thank you to Cynthia who was hustling indoor and outdoor tables Saturday night. The food was great and in the past it has been hit and miss but this meal was great! I had grouper fish and chips, others had the surf and turf, shrimp scampi and kids had burgers!

Thank Beth R

We were pleasantly surprised how good the food was at the Hurricane restaurant. Finding good food with reasonable prices on the beach can be difficult. Visiting in August allowed us to miss the crowds.

The Hurricane Seafood Restaurant has been a Pass-A-Grille tradition for 40 years. Today, it continues to be a popular destination for locals of St. Petersburg Beach and vacationers from all over the world. The three-level structure offers breakfast and casual dining at ground level, the "Original Hurricane," upscale dining on the second level and 360-degree views of historic Pass-A-Grille and St. Petersburg Beach and the Gulf of Mexico on the third or roof-top level. Located at 9th Avenue and Gulf Way in Pass-A-Grille Beach, at the south end of the island of St. Petersburg Beach, south of the famous Don Cesar Hotel, the Hurricane does wonders with grouper, shrimp, lobster, crab, salmon and scallops. How about grouper. It's an ugly fish, perhaps the ugliest you've ever seen. But looks aside, it is very meaty and tasty. It is one of my wife's favorites, along with Mahi-Mahi. So she ordered a cup of New England clam chowder, then the fresh Gulf grouper dinner with cole slaw and rice. I opted for the Grouper Paradise, 8 ounces of fresh Gulf grouper with garlic shrimp, crab cake and lobster bisque. We missed the sunset but the meal and surroundings made for an unforgettable experience.

Just stopped in to have a Bloody Mary after breakfast. Friendly Bartender and great Bloody Mary. Sat and talk to the owner and bartender while enjoying our drinks. Thumbs up

We had dinner here tonight with some friends. The outside patio on level 2 has beautiful views of the gulf. I had the grilled grouper with lobster and veggies. It was perfectly cooked and paired perfectly with a crisp glass of white wine. My husband had the steak and said it was good too. Kid friendly and enough options for everyone.

Ps. The pina coladas are delicious here!
