PROS: Nice pool, tennis courts, not far from restaurants and lighthouse
CONS: Small beach area, not much to entertain teenagers, condo 581 only has one comfortable piece of furniture in living room and the rest is wicker, only two chairs not broken or torn on lanai, no beach chairs provided
OVERALL: Adequate, I suppose, but would not stay here again

Stayed: June 2017

We recently spent over 3 weeks in a condo at Loggerhead Cay. The positives: excellent central location, well kept grounds, elevators worked, pet friendly, good condo layout. Comfy bed, washer/dryer, walk in shower.
Our view was excellent, and we truly loved the screened porch for breezes and relaxation. Convenient beach access.

The negatives: Although living room furniture LOOKS good, it is broken down to the point one can barely get out of it. Condo photos show this furniture has been there since hurricane remodel in 2004. Wish owner would replace with sofa with recliners on each end.

There is no escaping the lawn service people who are forever mowing & blowing. There is assigned parking, but appeared to be no enforcement, and no security in the complex. At night, it is very dark. This is an older complex, thus rates are somewhat more reasonable/affordable to a wide range of people.....during our visit, people seemed to control their kids pretty well. We would return, but the broken down furniture is a concern.

Very quiet condominium. On the beach quick walk to the water. Lots of shells right in front of condo. After all the rain this week there was a little flooding and would get eat up by mosquitos at times but that's nature. Overall great condo.

We were recommended to Loggerhead Cay from a friend that spent two weeks here with their family. We rented privately through "Paradise Vacations" and they live on the island (HUGE HELP!). The condo was spacious and clean. The beds were so comfortable and so was the couch. We brought out 10 month old and the pool was his favorite place. We loved the location to everything, the size of the grounds and how close it was to the beach. We will definitely stay here again. Everyone we met at the pool was so nice and friendly.

Room Tip: For quieter rooms avoid the pool area. We stayed second floor at it was perfect. There is elevators!

The unit that we rented was beyond expectations. It was privately managed and we dealt with the owner directly. The condo was recently updated and we were very happy with it. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is very nice (although, i would not call it heated) and the beach is amazing. Loggerhead Cay is very large. I probably would not choose to stay in a property this large again. Due to it's size, i expected some sort of security presence or check at night. There was no one. There are posted rules regarding a 10pm-8am noise curfew. This rule was completely ignored by a family that set themselves up in the pool area at 9pm and proceeded to drink and party until after 11pm. Because of the shape of the resort, this yelling echoes throughout the courtyard. I felt forced to finally speak to them and remind them of the noise curfew. As you can imagine, this did not go over well. This became a nightly event and we were unable to enjoy our deck in the evening. Not once did we see any security drive around to show any sort of presence. Because of how large and economical Loggerhead Cay is, the likelihood of running into rude, noisy people is very high. So, I think next time i would spend the money to stay somewhere smaller and a bit more exclusive. Other than that nightly obnoxious behavior, we have no complaints with the condo itself.

Room Tip: noise in courtyard echoes, book a room away from the pool area
