Siesta Key Oyster Bar is and always was one of my Favorites here on the Key. I decided to grab some Cajun Crawfish not to long back after a day on the white sand. Let me say this, it was very good, not to spicy and a pretty nice serving. S.K.O.B. is one of my favorites on Siesta Key, Very friendly and pleasant staff and patrons give it a relaxing no rushed atmosphere..... Like being on a Permanent Vacation!

In downtown SK, the Siesta Key Oyster Bar offers a large selection of beers on tap and by bottle, cocktails and food. The Happy Hour features a dozen oysters at half the usual (fair) price.

We ate at SKOB a couple of times during our stay in Siesta Key and always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The Beth salad is great for lunch and the burgers were a huge success. Always great entertainment.

SKOB has long been one our favorite causal spots on Siesta Key. The relaxed tropical atmosphere and music instantly puts you in a vacation state of mind. So no surprise after a 17 hour drive from Ohio to Siesta SKOB was our first stop. The "Patron Perfect" Margarita was the perfect way to start our vacation followed by the best wings on the Key. The blackened tuna BLT, a new menu item, was delicious! SKOB remains on my short list of favorites on the Key!!

What a disappointment! An Oyster Bar without Oysters! The worst part was they hung a sign but the hostess was so "over it". Also out of numerous beer choices, cole slaw and the tuna blt.

They obviously have some management & staff issues. From the hostesses to the wait staff to the chef. We waited 45 minutes for a table - while we watched many tables sit empty for 10 minutes. Then we ordered dinner and an appetizer. We were just about to leave after another 45 minutes when ALL the food came at the same time. (and yes the appetizer was cold). The waitress said - "oh yes, we were told there's a 35 min. wait for food". Well she could have told us! I asked to have the appetizer removed from the bill, which they did, but I got a weird comment about her not knowing we wanted to all eat it. I think part of the problem was poor management of the tables. Our waitress got at least 5 tables all at the same time. She was trying to get all drink orders out, while ours was probably sitting in the kitchen.

The food was average - music was good - this would be a good place to hang out for the music and drinks - oh and oysters if they get them.

We are truly sorry that we did not have Oysters for you. It's a hard place for us to be in. The people harvesting the oysters take off for the holidays. The people delivering the oysters
take off for the holidays. The results are inevitable, we run out of oysters. There is literally nothing that can be done. We understand the customer being upset, because after all, it isn't just us that runs out, all restaurants run out. If a customer wants them, it doesn't matter where they go or what they do, they aren't going to get them. It's a supply and demand "perfect storm".
We do understand that it can hamper your review and we are sorry for this. It is an extremely busy week and some shortfalls may have occurred. We are very sorry.
