We brought the grandkids here for spring break to see the Circus Museum. We also experienced the playground, walked around the mansion, and spent time in the gift shop. We also ate lunch in the Muse restaurant. All activities were fun.

I visited on my own on a Monday afternoon and discovered that it was indeed free to go in - just give your postcode/zip!

I loved the grounds, buildings and the art. I walked in to one room, knowing instantly a Canaletto was in front of me. I have seen many in London, but this was like a piece of home was right here in Bradenton.

The staff were super friendly and offered assistance throughout my visit. There are so many opportunities for fantastic pictures. Down by the waterfront and the Venicitain building, is a great spot to stop and picnic.

A truly lovely and unexpected visitor treat if you are in Bradenton.

Circus museum is amazing, none like it. Art museum is ok, not a lot of variety, especially enjoyed the temporary exhibit on glass near the main entrance. Mondays admission is free but only for grounds and art museum.

We went to the Ringling museum years ago, it was full of beautiful paintings, so when we are in the area, it is a must to revisit. It impressed us as ever, nice earphone explanation, we can go on our pace. They even had build new wings to house more modern arts and Asian arts, the huge parking area is free.

There are several venues included here, so try to see them all! The art museum was interesting but the best part was enjoying the statue garden between the building wings. It is an awesome place to just sit, breathe and immerse yourself. The original Circus Museum is quite the experience. You see a full blown circus, in miniature, that gives an idea of what a feat mounting these operations really were. Not only can you view the models straight on, but the 2nd floor allows some bird’s eye views as well. Mable Ringling’s rose garden was in bloom during our visit and really was delightful. The tours you should not miss are the two of Ca’D’Zan, the winter home of John and Mable Ringling. Please, splurge for both the “John Tour” and the “Mable Tour”. One gives a great overview of the spectacular home (Mable’s Tour), and the other allows you “behind the scenes” to see places roped off to the first tour (John’s Tour).
