“Beach vacation in Siesta Key, Florida”
Reviewed 12 October 2009

M.J. from Warrenville, Illinois We love the fabulous sunsets and the beautiful birds that soar over the Gulf waters. This is definitely the best beach in the world, in my opinion. A place to shed your worries and relax on the sugar sand beach. It's a beach made for walking, biking or just hanging out with a book.

“Siesta Key”

Siesta Key is a wonderful vacation spot. It has it all....beach within walking distance, fun little bars, and excellent dining! Be sure to visit the Old Salty Dog and have one of their famous hot dogs. Also, one of the local favorites is the Daquari Deck that has tons of different flavored drinks that you can sip out on their open deck. Night life is always great if you want to go to a bar and see some live music. The "village" of Siesta Key, as it is known, is where most of the action is. If you can't stay right in Siesta you can stay in the city od Sarasota which is nearby. We love it there and can't wait to go back!

“Flawless Beaches”
Reviewed 9 October 2009

We spent two weeks at Siesta Key, Florida. We stayed at the condos on Turtle Beach. The location is perfect along a quiet stretch of beautiful sandy beach.

The sunsets every single night were spectacular - each one different and breath-taking. I learned my 15 year old son is a romantic. He swears when he finds that "special woman" he will take her to a Siesta Key sunset and propose. (Many years from now!)

We were only minutes away from the main Siesta Key beach - the white sand is incredible. They have a place to rent umbrellas and lounge chairs. It is well worth the cost. The sun can be intense and the shade is a welcome respite for fair skinned Ohioans. We spent hours in the water. The water is so clear you can easily see the ocean floor while your swimming. It’s fascinating to see all the fish that swim by!

There are lots of things to do from family entertainments to quiet evenings. Parasailing, paddle boats, putt-putt, Gulf tours, etc. There are multiple restaurants to satisfy all the picky eaters and all the restaurants are great.

Overall, the entire family agrees, this was the best vacation ever!

“Beautiful white sand”
Reviewed 9 October 2009

Our family went for the first time in July to Siesta Key were we stayed in a 5th floor condo overlooking the ocean. The water was clear, warm and a beautiful blue green in color. The sand, cool to walk on, soft and white. Grocery stores and restaurants are in walking distance but also a short drive without entering chaotic beach traffic. It was perfect for families and was without the tackey or trashy tourist type places of other Florida beaches. Even my husband who usually hates Florida and not a beach type person enjoyed it there.

“Great place for a family vacation”
Reviewed 8 October 2009

We visited Siesta Key with a large group with a range of ages. We were happy to find plenty to keep us all entertained within walking distance so we didn't need to drive everywhere and people could venture off in smaller groups. Even the beach was a two minute walk. We went during the summer and never had a problem getting a table for dinner for the entire group. It was a very laid back town which made for a very relaxing vacation for all.
