This was our first time at BG so I have been reading a lot of reviews. Crowds were awful since it’s late Spring Break season and not a weekend. Still I highly recommend getting here when parking lots open and paying for preferred parking. Otherwise you start your day waiting in a line for the tram. We did get the Quick Pass. We started in the back of the park and by the time Tigris and Sheikra opened at 10:30. We were able to get on quickly and probably didn’t need the pass. But it was worth having as the lines got long. Regular line for Cheetah Hunt was 120 minutes, we waited 40.
The food and drink situation is not good. Very limited selection and nothing open. We spent a small fortune in water bottles. I understand not having fountains open because of COVID, but offer no name water bottles at a lower cost. Crucial to prevent overheating and dehydration.
They are also very strict on masks. I understand while I line. Or in crowded areas like exhibits but most of the time we were walking with no one even visible.
Lastly no paper maps, which I understand so we had a picture on the phone. The map and signage isn’t good so we wasted a lot of time figuring out how to get from one place to another.
Not the worst day as some have reviewed but not the best. Even with COVID, there are some opportunities to make it a better experience for their guests.
