Our first time in Tampa so of course we come here. We loved this area. Lots if culture, plenty of bars and places to eat. Great cigar spots and live music spots. Love the buildings and history here. It's a must see

My husband and myself went to arbor City for pride day in support of a family member. When we arrived there was lots of clubs and bars around. There’s a couple of shops also but mainly clubs and bars. I would not recommend taking your little ones to this place. Our experience was an amazing one. We went from club to bar hopping. The clubs are super cheap and the drinks as well. We spend the majority of the time in Bradley’s where it’s a gay club. Yes there’s places for you to walk to and sight see. I don’t mind walking and sightseeing. Overall, we had a blast partying.

I first visited Ybor about five years ago and it was not a place to be at night. Pretty worn down with a lot of storefronts falling to ruin. Fast forward to today and the street is ALIVE! Bars, restaurants, eclectic shops, and more than a handful of Cigar shops hand rolling their own Stogies. We went during the daylight on a Saturday but based on the prevalence of bars alone, there’s no doubt this place gets rockin at night. Highlights of our trip included La France (clothing / costume store) and seeing wild street chickens.

Watch craftsmen create Cuban cigars...go to La Segunda for the best Cuban bread and pastry in town...eat at the Columbia restaurant and catch the weekend flamenco dancers. These are but a few of the highlights of Ybor City. Lots of funky shops and entertainment, particularly weekend entertainment. You will step back in time and have the time of your life.

If visiting during the day I would not waste your time going - there really isn't anything to do besides walk around. Yes, you can see the only buildings and there are some restaurants but there really isn't anything besides the nightlife I guess. The history of the city is very interesting but you can read that on your own without actually going there. All-in-all a waste of the drive time there and only walked around for about 30 minutes.
