I had an important notification about a wild cat and tried repeatedly to contact them to no avail. Their website contact goes to a firewall.

It was wonderful to see all these retired big cats and the life that they are living in now. The guides are very knowledgeable and really care about the animals and conservation. The tour area is a lovely walk and the cats are just amazing!!

My boys and I are HUGE animal lovers , especially big, wild cats and this place was a little slice of Heaven. Barbara gave us a personal tour which I arranged with her by email. It was even better than I thought. The staff are friendly, engaged, and clearly committed to the animals first and foremost. All of the cats are rescued, many from hideous situations and in this safe haven, they find love, safety, and the ability to go back to their wild roots, where they belonged from the onset. The grounds are well kept, the animals are in large, natural habitats, and the education is something you will never forget. If you are anywhere near Tampa, take advantage of this great opportunity. You will never forget it! HUGE thanks to Barbara; love, Jen, John & Ryan :) xoxo

If you are in the Tampa area, do NOT miss Big Cat Rescue!! Such an awesome experience being able to see these majestic cats just a few feet away from you! So educational as well. Do not pet baby cubs!! The guides are excellent and will answer any questions you may have and let you take up close pictures and videos. I took my mom and we had the best time ever. We went on the regular tour, as the keeper tour and feeding tours were sold out. Enjoyed it thoroughly! It is a definite must on your Tampa itinerary!!

This place does a great job with their wild cats - our 2 hour tour was excellent and our tour guide was very well informed and very knowledgeable. The enclosures were spacious, clean and the animals looked very healthy and well fed. There is no contact at all, ever between anyone, including the volunteers and the cats to keep everyone safe. (The only contact allowed is with one of their two vets.) Your ticket money goes right back in to the facility so it is money well spent. Highly recommended. I brought my two kids, ages 11 and 13, and they loved it.
