Very worthwhile stopping for an hour or so and watching the birds. Great service they are providing so nice to be able to support them.

Being bird parents, we knew we wanted to stop here on our way back from Key West. What a great place. There are nice boardwalk paths that take you around enclosures that house birds that were nursed back to health, but not able to be returned to the wild. We followed the trail that took us close to the water and made our way back. There is a donation box out front, but no one pressures you to donate. Great stop, you get to see some birds like owls up close, where you probably wouldn't be able to any other way..

If you like birds you can easily spend an hour there on a side visit. Maybe not that much more time.

I always stop her when I am in the Keys. It is on the southern end of Key Largo and a good first stop in the Keys. There is no entrance fee but they do accept donations. the birds they have in captivity have been injured to a point that they cannot be returned to the wild. You will see many birds up close that you may never see in the wild. There are also many birds that have been released into the wild from the sanctuary that hand out around there because they feel safe. It is great to see the work they are doing with these wonderful creatures.

Thank sttly
