We had been coming to Made In Italy for years and typically order one of four or five "standard dishes". This time we ordered a Margarita pizza with ham and when it came out it had about a quarter inch inch of water on the tray and was very soggy and strange looking. We complained to the waiter who said that's how it is because we use fresh mozzarella and it has lots of moisture in it. This was not moisture, it was "pizza soup",
and when we spoke with a manager she indicated that she and her husband had recently purchased the restaurant and we're changing the menu and this was the new pizza with 'fresh ingredients'.

I don't think will be back...

Enjoyed our dinner here, very Italian bread to begin, good Parma ham, a trifle salty, but an excellent starter dish. This trip.was only pizza for main but as a consequence of the quality and ingredients, will return to try some of the Italian specials. Staff were attentive and extremely helpful. It's expensive on main st, but what was served up here was excellent for the price. We have since returned and they didn't let us down.

For Venice this is a very good Italian restaurant. Probably one of the best in town. Major problem is that it is noisy.
Service friendly and efficient. Sauces are a bit heavy for our taste, used to them being a bit fresher tasting.
Excellent appetizers Good deals at happy hour
Prices in line with the area

Went to Taste of Italy Wed night. Salad course was fine, particularly the "Florida" salad. Things wen downhill when the main courses arrives. One person ordered the Antipasto Plate, which was two pieces of Prochutto, and a small bit of dried out cheese. Pathetic. Another asked for a serving of Meatballs, whereupon the waiter said "I don't think we serve main course meatballs.. (Duh, this is an Italian restaurant) Well, in a way he was correct. They brought a plate of thumbnail sized "meatballs" in a putrid looking and tasting sauce. The Shellfish in Sauce over "Half Ravioli" came with a very much under-cooked pasta, covered with a skimpy, lukewarm sauce. And then it turns out that some of the shellfish were tainted very quuickly causing an unpleasant evening of "intestinal distress" Have no idea why the place got good reviews earlier, but do understand why they were recently sold. With so many fine Italian choices in the Venice area, the four of us vowed to never return , and to let our friends know what happened.
