Although the house is on the edge of a small village in the middle of the countryside, it was still quick and easy to get to a large supermarket, bank and pharmacy. The garden has wide open views over beautiful fields, and sunshine all day long as it's south facing. The kids enjoyed the garden and toys/ games available. There's so much to do in Brittany, I felt like we hardly scratched the surface. The local area is full of stunning towns and villages. We enjoyed bike rides along the canal at Malestroit, visiting the castle at Josselin, scooting by the harbour at Vannes and watching the glass blowing at La Gacilly. Felt very relaxed and the house had everything we needed.

We have just returned fully relaxed from our stay - and I don't say that lightly having taken 2 children of 4 and 6 years! The house was nestled on the edge of a very sleepy little village, and whilst there is a road next to it, the traffic was relatively light, excluding the odd tractor or two. The view from the large garden was lovely, we sat out every evening with dinner watching the buzzards in the wheat field opposite and pheasants dash about with their young. The house is well set up for all, with good sized rooms and nice living area and kitchen. As I went with my Mum and 2 children I slept in the downstairs lounge on the very comfy sofa bed and it worked just fine. Highlights of the trip included Vannes (beautiful and loads to see/do - also the Jazz Festival there in July!), La Baule and Le Croisic (takes 1hr 20 to get there, but so worth it) Roche en Bernard (lovely port, perfect for dinner on way back from La Baule), outdoor swimming pool at La Gacilly and quaint village of Rochefort En Terre. I would definitely recommend sailing to St Malo rather than Caen as it takes at least an hour off your journey to the property.
There is a large supermarket only 5km away and Naomi does a great job of telling you what's what and where, so all in all a lovely lovely holiday!

1 review As soon as we arrived we felt comfortable and relaxed, having access to the large garden and all facilities we would expect at home! The gite was well supplied with information about the surrounding area and we were able to find places to go from the huge selection of leaflets available. Our 12 year old daughter loved staying here - her bedroom was really comfy and she liked the selection of games available for our use. The road outside the cottage, although at certain times, was quite busy (by french village standards!) it did not detract from the pleasure of staying here.
