We went on the first day they opened for business- to this cute tiny Cuban restaurant, attached to Tin Lizzy's Cantina at the Avenues at East Cobb. It won't be our last visit! Think "Miami 8th Street", plus a bar! We had Cuban sandwiches, yucca fries with delicious dipping sauces, good strong Cuban coffee, and bread pudding for dessert. YUM! Finally! Good Cuban food in East Cobb! We'll be back to try everything! Lovely people, very accomodating, and wonderful food.

Looks can be deceiving. We weren't sure what to expect when we first saw the place. The interior decor is very nice, makes you feel like you're in the tropics. The staff was very friendly and the food was good. They offer many traditional Cuban dishes and we were very happy with the ones we tried.Since it just opened a week or so ago, the menu could use a little tweaking. I would like to see an option for white rice (not just yellow) and ropa vieja added to the menu and to make it a little more authentic, the toasted, buttered bread should be included with all meals, not offered as an extra. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and will definitely return.

The restaurant exterior appears so tiny from the outside that you might mistake it for a takeout sandwich shop, but there are plenty of tables and booths inside, and several options on the menu for a good sit-down meal. And by good, I mean delicious! The only thing we would add to the menu is a plump Cuban tamal topped with pickled onions and wrapped in corn husk (management, please add it). Unless you are craving roasted pork, get the Vaca Frita, a melt-in-your-mouth boneless beef creation from the short ribs. The flavor is out of this world, and only improved with a drizzle of garlicky mojo sauce. The toasted Cuban bread as a side item is nothing special, and I was not in love with the sticky yellow rice but you should try the tasty sweet plantains (maduros). We will be back to try the sandwiches. This is a welcome addition to East Cobb.
