We stopped here overnight on our way back to the UK. We had a double room on the first floor (Dahlia), nicely decorated, very comfortable bed (1.6 metres which was great as we are both quite tall) and a lovely en suite - all immaculately clean. We also ate with Martine and Francois, who were charming hosts. A bonus for my husband was that they both spoke good English, which meant he could join in the conversation. We opted for the table d'hote, which was excellent. Unfortunately we didn't get the opportunity to have a look round the village, as it had snowed heavily and we didn't have boots with us.
It's a great location, only a few miles from the motorway, and thoroughly recommend this B&B

A couple of hours from Calais Eurotunnel terminal, we stopped here on our way south. We had the family suite at the top of the house which was great for us with two teens. Martine and Francois were excellent hosts. If you can, do have supper with them - wonderful home grown produce from the garden and interesting conversation. Their English is good and Martine also speaks German. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a holiday in France and stayed here on our way through and back. Martine and Francois are the most wonderful hosts and provided us with the best food we ate during our entire stay, and the most enjoyable company. The rooms were comfortable and clean for us and our three children. We spent our evenings eating, drinking and chatting with Martine and Francois and their friends. On the second visit we were entertained by Francois' brilliant piano playing while Martine made us coffee after our delicious meal. The food is home made and freshly prepared using home grow ingredients, we sat outside to eat the second time, which was just wonderful. We could not recommend this experience more. They are lovely people and we will definitely visit them again.

Room Tip: Advisable to book

We have just returned from our 3 week France adventure, and our last night with Martine and Francois was one of the best memories I will cherish. Their home is lovely and our room, Dahlia, was so bright and cheery and a good size for European rooms! We LOVED listening to Francois play the piano. He is a wonderful concert pianist and loves to play for his guests. It was a treat! Be sure to have dinner with Martine and Francois. Martine is an excellent cook and it was well worth it. We shared stories and spoke in both French and English. (They actually speak English well but I needed the practice.) It was so fascinating to learn about their lives and French life, which is really not so different than the challenges and joys in the U.S. Breakfast was delightful. Martine makes her own bread and jams... yummy! La Martiniere is an excellent value and a wonderful experience!

wow wow wow.
Perfectly located to rest following an international flight CDG or as a final staging post. We spent the last three days of our holiday there and used it as a base to go to Paris- 45 mins away. Martine and Francois were most excellent hosts and we enjoyed their friendly welcome and advice both speaking english very well. The traditional style french house is built on 3 floors with wooden flooring and an eliptical staircase. we stayed in the attic with plenty of room for us and our kids next door- looking out of the velux windows we could see the Hotel de Ville, the school and town- There is a large vegetable garden and Martine makes her own jams- Yumm
Breakfast is a well stocked continental affair and the prices are very reasonable- We wont hesitate to go back and see them again when we are in france again.

Room Tip: perfect throughout, quiet, clean, well decorated. comfortable beds
