Martine and Francois really are genuine people. The food was superb and their company was even better. When we went (for the third time) Martine was ill but still produced the goods, with a little help from Francois! On our next trip we would literally go out of our way to stay with them (also to enjoy their company). Doug and Sue Riley and family.

Stayed recently with Martine for one night on way to Euro Disney. I knew this was my last chance for a decent meal, but did not expect such a delight. Food, wine and company were all wonderful while the rooms were quiet and clean, all in a setting of a turn of the century French town house. I really recommend going to see Martine and sampling her hospitality if you are planning on visiting Picardy.

We stopped here over night on the way to Disneyland Paris. There were two families in our group including two 4 year old girls who shared a twin room, great family accommodation and very comfortable. Our host Martine was fantastic and she prepared a lovely meal including an incredible local cheese board and 'cherry crumble' using cherries from the garden! Highly recommend La Martiniere for a stop over or a destination to visit local area - we are planing a trip back to visit Château de Pierrefonds (BBC Merlin castle location).

We stopped here overnight on our way back to the UK. We had a double room on the first floor (Dahlia), nicely decorated, very comfortable bed (1.6 metres which was great as we are both quite tall) and a lovely en suite - all immaculately clean. We also ate with Martine and Francois, who were charming hosts. A bonus for my husband was that they both spoke good English, which meant he could join in the conversation. We opted for the table d'hote, which was excellent. Unfortunately we didn't get the opportunity to have a look round the village, as it had snowed heavily and we didn't have boots with us.
It's a great location, only a few miles from the motorway, and thoroughly recommend this B&B

A couple of hours from Calais Eurotunnel terminal, we stopped here on our way south. We had the family suite at the top of the house which was great for us with two teens. Martine and Francois were excellent hosts. If you can, do have supper with them - wonderful home grown produce from the garden and interesting conversation. Their English is good and Martine also speaks German. Highly recommended.
